We stayed for one night but wish we could've stayed longer! The cabin was super cute and has great views. Loved that they supply binoculars in the cabin to see Dall Sheep. Unfortunately we did see any but had fun looking. The cabin had a...More
We stayed at this lodge for a night after full day drive on Old Denali Highway.

We stopped for a lunch here and very much enjoyed it, hamburger as well as the soup and hot cider. Staff very friendly and the views are simply gorgeous. There is also some great decoration in- and outside (in the greenhouse).

The two are about five hours apart (more like six in the summertime) and there is one main route. You'll head south on the Parks Highway (highway 1) until you get to the interchange with the Glenn Highway (highway 3.). Take the Glenn north to Sheep Mountain Lodge. It's a lovely drive. You can cut through the town of Wasilla to save a few minutes but it's not probably not worth it if you're new to the area. Have a safe trip!
