This well-maintained RV park was a great overnight stopping point for us before going hiking on the Matanuska Glacier the next morning. Nice hiking trail with beautiful views right out of the RV park. The (clean) shower rooms could use some benches and/or hooks to set down clothes and toiletries. Sadly, the cafe was closed the night we stayed, or we would have loved to try it out. We enjoyed our stay!

This is the only fully equipped RV place in the area and the owners are very helpful. Nancy is always around serving really good food with her other half. We were going to camp but the weather didn’t agree. The owners offered a staff cabin for us due to the very rainy weather. It was at a very fair price too $75. Thank you for the yummy food and hospitality right near the glacier!

Immediately greeted with a smile, Grand View Cafe was the perfect warm and cozy stop on our long journey through Alaska. With an abundance of meal options, I chose the deliciously filling Alaskan Cod Po Boy. Surrounded by dramatic peaks, rivers, and flora, Grand View Cafe absolutely lives up to it’s name. Thank you Grand View!

This was a nice, clean, quiet RV Park. Not a lot of activities, but there is a short, easy walk to see Matunuska glacier from afar, and that connects to a moderate trail that takes you above the park and great views of sheep filled mountains. I highly recommend this park as a place to stay if you there to go on some of the more advanced hikes to the glacier, or as a 1-2 nite stay on your way to Valdez or McCarthy. The staff are great, and the restaurant has great sandwiches and breakfast. We didn’t try the pizza, but heard from other campers it’s really good. Not every site has a fire ring, so if that’s important, pay for a deluxe spot. Not every site has full hookups but there is free dumping for guests.

We planned on staying one night but our truck broke down. Mark, the owner I believe, was so gracious to find us a spot to stay as he was booked up. It’s quiet and the views are gorgeous. They staff is wonderful as well. All so kind. They invited us to a bonfire and we made new friends. There are nice trails behind the park to hike too. I highly recommend this RV site.

This is a well maintained RV park with spacious sites. Friendly folks, a simple cafe. It was a pleasure to stay here out in the middle of this majestic scenery with few services.

Our site had water and electricity. Dump station at the end of the property

What a wonderful place to stay! We are in a rental RV on a holiday and Nancy and Mark treated us like family. The site and facilities were awesome. Our pizza and wontons were great! The trails and views are really nice. We feel so fortunate to have found this place.

We stayed here one night, and it was lovely. The park has about 25 sites, mostly pull-through. We had full hookups, level site on gravel, and plenty of room for the tow car.

It is very close to Matanusca Glacier access, where you can pay to drive up to the glacier, Then hike one mile right up onto it.

The Grand View Cafe is delightful. It's a beautiful log building, very clean and bright. The food was good and desserts were awesome. The carrot cake was delicious, and the brownies are wonderful. Staff is friendly.

They give you a coupon for the cafe if you're staying in the RV park.

As a bonus, you can watch Dall sheep from the campground. This is a beautiful area, and we wished we could have stayed at this campground longer.

A nice, friendly RV park in an amazing location. Good laundry room and showers. Also has an onsite cafe that did amazing breakfasts and was open into the evening. One of the better value for money parks that we visited on a three week trip. You are given a useful information leaflet on arrival which gives directions for local trails to the glacier views. The Dall sheep can be seen all around the area, from your RV! The free WIFI is also very useful.

We stayed here on our way to and from Valdez. It is a very well kept rv park and it was a treat to have a cafe right on the premises as there aren’t many options in this remote location. It has beautiful mountain views. They offered all the amenities you could ask for......clean showers, laundry, hook ups, dump station and potable water......the employees and owners were very friendly and helpful. I’m not sure what some of these reviewers were looking for, but you couldn’t ask for a nicer rv park in a remote location like this. The restaurant offers dinners and breakfasts (not sure about lunch) and even coffee and chai lattes. I highly recommend staying here.
