Once a terrace of miners' cottages, this charming pub offers a delightful dining experience. The dishes are beautifully prepared and presented, and are quite delicious. The service is first class; not gushing or intrusive, but prompt and professional. We visited on a Saturday night and had pre-booked a table - the earliest available at the time of booking being 8.30pm....

Had a wonderful experience when we dined at the Carpenters Arms for our valentines meal! The food was impeccable, the waiting staff were very attentive but everything was enhanced greatly by our drinks. Myself, and my partner, were greeted by two lovely barman (wearing matching outfits) and they recommended the Valentines cocktail: Cheeky Pinky. At first we were sceptical, but...

TRIPLE REVIEW (1) EVENING DINNER. We often meet friends here for dinner on a weekday evening. The menu is great with an excellent choice of meals (the Chicken Liver Parfait is particularly scrummy). The Carpenter's Arms is equidistant for our friends and ourselves - them coming from the Bath direction and us from the Bristol direction. We have been to...

We were able to book a table for 3 with only 30 minutes notice which was great. It was busy but the Car parking was good. On entering the bar the welcome and service was very good. I ordered the G&T of the week (Hendricks) and my husband had the Mortimers Cider. We took our table in the Coopers room...

Visited with a group of 12 from our Car Club. Very attentive and helpful staff. Food was piping hot and there was plenty of veg for all. One of the best roasts I've had in a while. Will definitely be back.

I stayed here for one night in a twin room for my sister's birthday. Our room had very comfortable twin beds and a great powerful shower that stayed hot throughout our stay. We also had tea and coffee making facilities and free wifi that could be accessed from our room. We had a 3 course dinner included in the price...

Entering through a low door into a classical English country Inn, the warmth of this place hits you straight away. Low ceilings, open fires and retired famers all around. Some of the staff here are a bit posh but they are friendly and helpful. The rooms are through the bar & restaurant, up some old stairs and onto a nicely...

This pub with rooms has plenty of parking and has excellent views from the pretty village of Stanton Wick. We often organise a meal at the Carpenters for a group of 12 to 14 ,we are able to use one of the side rooms which are private without being shut away. Good choice of dishes , friendly helpful staff.

We booked a lunch time table for four of us this week as it was a special birthday of our daughter. A smile greeted us on arrival and our table was reserved with our name marked. The menu was a good choice of food something for all. Table service or drinks could be ordered from the bar. A very cosy...
