We have eaten at the Anglers every time we visit the area and have never been disappointed. Food and hospitality is always excellent. This time I had mixed grill & ice cream and my wife had the burger followed by creme brûlée - lovely food, would love to visit again on this holiday but sadly we won't be able to....

Stayed at the Anglers on a two - night Groupon deal. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Comfortable, clean and quite spacious room coupled with an excellent breakfast.. We ate at the pub both nights as the food was very enjoyable and good value for money. There were three well-kept real ales too. We will certainly return.

A really friendly hotel were dogs are welcome in the room and in the bar area, the food was really good, using quality local ingredients, service was attentive but not overbearing, the full English breakfast was well cooked and sufficient, with extra toast and coffee on request

We booked for Sunday lunch on the spur of the moment. Given a warm welcome with blazing coal fire. Lots of choice on the menu and we both had roast beef with all the trimmings. The plate was piled high, the trimmings were good but the beef was rather tough and chewy. We felt it was the sort of "institutionalised"...

The building is an old coaching house with a few twists and turns but is well decorated with many historic pictures on the walls. We decided to eat and drink at...

Booked here for our first nite and no where else came close. Great food and service. Massive portions and reasonably priced. Was a credit to the old traditional English pub Would highly recommend and try the specials

Great location as a base for touring round Northumberland and it's beautiful coast line with most places reached in under an hours drive. The Anglers Arms is an old coaching inn dating back to the 17c, very cosy with good sized bedrooms with modern fixture and fittings, TV, tea/coffee, hairdryer etc. Breakfast was cooked to order with a varied menu....

Third visit. Very comfortable rooms. Excellent staff. Very friendly. Nothing is to much trouble for them. Fantastic meals. A very relaxing 3 day break. Lovely to see a large log fire when you return on a wet and windy night.

Went for Sunday lunch here and it was lovely. Great choice for starters, mains and puddings. Of you go out for Sunday lunch requently you will know a lot of places don't have much choice on the menu. The Anglers arms has lots of choice definitely worth a drive for dinner. The only thing was there's not a lot of...
