We had booked The Anglers Arms on a Groupon deal and were really looking forward to our 2 nights away not least because the reviews were brilliant. We were not disappointed after a warm welcome we were shown to our room which was immaculate and spotlessly clean, bedding and towels were fresh and white. We booked in for our two... More

6 of us had lunch on a quiet Monday. The staff were great, 2 of our party were half hour late due to traffic but they could still cater for us. Lovely menu and at least 6 starters and even more mains in specials board. I had Asian duck salad and king prawn sizzler, both excellent and well presented. The... More

Went to the Anglers Arms for a family lunch. It is a beautiful setting and the staff are very helpful. Mum is in a wheelchair and it was no problem. Very varied menu including tradition Sunday lunch. We had a table in the dining room, spacious and a great atmosphere. The food was excellent. Definitely worth a visit.

Would highly recommend the food. We have never stayed overnight, but have visited the restaurant on a number of occasions. Today we went along for Sunday lunch. What we really like about this lovely pub is that they don't just offer traditional Sunday roasts, they have their full menu available on Sundays, so there is plenty of choice for the... More

We stayed at the Anglers Arms for two nights on a Groupon deal. It was one of the best deals that we have bought. The staff are very friendly, the place is really clean, the room was comfortable and generaly a nice place to stop. For breakfast this morning I had scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and it was to... Quick pint (or two) here tonight after a long while and it's the same friendly local as it was years ago. It wouldn't get any awards for the beer line-up, food, or decor, but it's a locals' local and pubs with that label are sadly few and far between. Worth a stop if you're in the area. And there's amazing... More

We stumbled across this delightful pub/restaurant whilst staying in Northumberland. The menu is extensive, the food excellent, the staff very helpful and efficient. The atmosphere was very good and we ate there two evenings, I can highly recommend this venue.

Very impressed with food and service. 6 of us dined and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food. I had duck and it was cooked perfectly. We didn't have starters or deserts but everything that came out of the kitchen looked fabulous. Will definitely be back.

Just returned from a very pleasant few days here. The accommodation was very good, staff very attentive and friendly, and food excellent. Also enjoyed touring around a very interesting and picturesque coastline and countryside. A first class break.

A lovely little pub in a beautiful setting. Oak beams and country style. Great atmosphere. Bar and restaurant dining available and accommodation. We only had a drink with friends on this visit. Next time we are in the area, we will pop in again.
