Had a very relaxing stay in this beautiful cottage. The owners certainly go that extra mile to make your stay welcoming and comfortable. The welcome basket and flowers on arrival were a delightful touch and added a very homely feel to the experience. The cottage is spotless and very well equipped with everything you would wish for to hand.We had a... We stayed in East Cottage with our dog, Freya and had a fantastic time, Dee and Charles were excellent hosts. The grounds are fantastic and a brilliant place to take a dog, who was introduced to the horses and goats. The cottage itself was very well equipped, the layout down stairs was brilliant and felt very very cozy considering it... More

We have stayed in Charles and Dee's lovely cottage/barn conversion twice now and had a wonderful time on both occasions. Charles and Dee are the most friendly and happy hosts ever and the farm, secluded and quiet, is nevertheless conveniently located for all the beauties of Northumberland and its splendid countryside. For anyone coming from SE England which has relatively... More

Dee and Charles have gone the extra mile in creating a wonderfully peaceful holiday haven where no detail has been overlooked. Spotlessly clean throughout, well furnished and homely, and to top it all, a home-made sponge was delivered an hour after our arrival, with Dee apologising for it being late as she "was waiting for the hen to lay the... The best self-catering accommodation we've ever stayed in. Warmest of welcomes from owners Charles and Dee made our second stay even more wonderful than our first. West Cottage is well-appointed with some charming tcuches set in spectacular scenery. The small holding has been lovingly created to encourage wildlife and the birdsong was a constant delight. Nothing was too much trouble... More

West cottage is a lovely place to come back to. Dee has thought of everything. We enjoyed our welcome basket, particularly the (still warm )hens eggs. The farm is a delight with chickens, goats, ponies and horses, and our dog felt equally at home there. Great recommendation for the nearby Barrasford Arms where we had a stand out lovely meal.

We are a family of 3 generations plus a little dog. We stayed at the East cottage from Monday to Friday. We had the most relaxing stay in a beautiful, well equipped self catering accommodation. The attention to detail was superb as we're the gardens and grounds. Charles and Dee are so friendly and helpful, they deserve 5 stars, We... More

There is now shop or pub in the village, but there is a small shop5mins away in the car, but closes eaely. Best get all your goodies... More

We spent a long weekend in West Cottage in March. I am quite picky about bathroom and kitchen standards and this cottage more than fulfilled my expectations. The kitchen was particularly well equipped and the welcome basket of goodies was appreciated much more than the usual pint of milk and cookies option. The cottage really is a home from home... More
