You enter by ringing the plastic doorbell at the backdoor that leads into a cold, unwelcoming and dull room that doesn't know whether it's an office or a reception area, it certainly didn't create any kind of warmth or "pleased to see you" atmosphere. A sense of fear spreads through you as you climb the tight back staircase to an... More

Dear Vinay, it was a pleasure to welcome you and your lovely wife here last weekend. We only wish you could have stayed longer. I'm sorry you did not like the look of the ground floor here but we do run 3 successful businesses from these premises and we might relocate later, when we can. I am always here to... More

Not a hotel with full facilities and not quite enough character to cut it as a "Boutique" style hotel. Owner run and met at door. It was a late booking that afternoon so happy to see all booked when arrived hour and half later. Very clean, very tidy. Room a bit smaller than I would have cared for at the... More

We have never ever declared ourselves to be a Boutique hotel, nor do we want to be one! With a dozen pubs and restaurants on our doorstep we provide neither dinner or a bar. We are purely bed and breakfast ( you declined breakfast) and advertise these details as such. There is a huge demand for small, clean, and quiet... More

Hotel is a b&b. Owner was cheerful and helpful on arrival, then pointed us across the courtyard to find our room which was very clean and with the most comfortable bed I've encountered in a long time. Space was very limited in the room - a problem the next morning as we stayed on a Friday night and there was... More

Dear Annie I am glad you enjoyed our beds! They are new and were chosen very carefully : - ) We openly admit our bedrooms are not large here and say this on all our booking sites. Your room had a super king sized bed and was one of our largest rooms. We religiously tell our guests when they book... More

My wife and I stayed here for a night. Nothing was dreadful and some things were good. There was just a lack of attention to detail that makes a stay great. A perfunctory greeting from the owner and a very weak shower were examples of poor service. On the other hand the breakfast was good and the bed comfortable. There... More

Dear Jackharrybill, Sorry you found my greeting perfunctory. I am actually quite a chatterbox but normally good at judging who wants to talk and who doesn't! It was a very busy Saturday when you stayed and we were packed out with guests but I did have the chance of a conversation with your very friendly wife on the Sunday morning... More

I stayed here for two nights while in the area for a wedding. The owner was very welcoming and helpful with our group booking which took up a number of the rooms. The continental breakfast pack was superb and when we had the cooked breakfast on the Sunday it was excellent too. The hotel is in a good location for... More

The owner is a lovely lady, very welcoming. The price was extremely good which was my main criteria for this business trip. I booked a single room, which was tiny but perfectly formed with everything I needed. The quality of the towels and linens was great and the bed very comfortable. I ordered the breakfast which was for me to... More

I booked the hotel a few weeks before heading up to the area on a business trip, found the owner to be very friendly and helpful over the phone, and the prices to be reasonable considering its a small hotel not a large chain. On arrival i was greeted at the door by the owner who seemed very pleasant and... More

Im a bridesmaid at a wedding in Olney and planned to stay in this hotel. I was advised on booking that irrespective of my circumstances or how long prior to the date of my arrival that if I needed to cancel my booking I would still need to pay the £50 deposit for my room. Now I recognise that it... More

Our terms and conditions are clearly displayed and were explained to you on the telephone. It is not unreasonable and is common for hotels and guest houses to take non refundable advanced deposits. Your surprising response and vile language on the telephone to me makes me glad that you did not accept our terms and conditions and did not make... More
