Detailed Reviews
This resort is part of the same resort chain that has a resort in Skardu, however, this one is small. Located just short of Raikot Bridge towards Chilas side, the resort has only few basic rooms and a restaurant.
Rooms used to be good few years back but haven't been maintained and are now quite ordinary. Restaurant is ok and can provide the basic food. Its a good stopover on KKH before Gilgit, if you are coming from Babusar Pass side but nothing more. Unless one has to go to Fairy Meadows, there is not point staying just an hour and a half from Gilgit. Seeing the quality of service, rates are quite steep.

Probably best from what is around in chilas for an international traveller but very overpriced for what it is. Rooms are dark and very stuffy, window goes out on the corridor so it might just not be there. Rate doesn't include breakfast. Restaurant food is ok but the restaurant itself is awful, needs an upgrade. Nice enough garden with view of the Indus River and secure parking -these are just about the only two things we liked about this hotel.

A good hotel staff makes all the difference and i have found the staff to be very friendly. Although i could not stay there for a night and was in a transit but still the staff was professional . There was plenty of space to ease out and a mandatory break to have when you have to continue your journey towards Gilgit & Hunza.

Booking this hotel was a mistake. At the time of booking they made tall claims about their hotel and restaurant but it proved to be my worst experience.
I arrived with a group at the hotel. The rooms were not ready. The bellboys kept telling me you tell us which room needs to be triple and which needs to be quad and we will do it. The point of giving them reservation well in advance along with naming list was to save time at the time of check in.
Chilas remains quiet hot. They provided us rooms without air conditioning. At the time of booking they did not specify that they will provide us with non air conditioned rooms. When I asked them for air conditioning they asked for PKR 1500 per room additional.
I went to the front desk staff Ahmed, he seemed to have no clue, then I went to their manager Rehmat who was so rude that if I was his boss, I would have fired him immediately. Rehmat said "If you were not going to check in here then why did you come here at all?"
Imagine yourself with a group and the hotel manager telling you this story. I called up the owner and had a go at them. Then Rehmat comes as tells me why are you calling my boss? Can you imagine their customer servicing?
I refused to check in and told them that we are leaving. Then their manager Rehmat tried (in vain) to scare us by telling that we will not find place in another hotel and the road is closed and we would also lose the rooms here.
I made a call and moved my entire group to check into Naran where the hotel staff was much nicer and hotel was like a home.

We spent very cold nights at this hotel, which does not provide heating despite freezing temperatures. In order to get some (limited) heating from inverters, we were asked to pay for the diesel for the generator…! Faced with the alternative ‘pay or freeze’, we accepted to foot the bill and ended up paying almost 100 EUR for a small, rather grotty room, which is an extortionate rate. Management should be fair enough to provide heating during the winter months, or shut the hotel down. VIP rooms are also quite noisy, as close to the road and poorly insulated.

+1
The hotel is quite outdated and lacked of good maintenance as due to the dam construction, which will submerge the whole place in the future.
However, i still can see the classy decoration, the good quality of materials used for interior i.e. the huge wooden doors, antique gorkon pot...etc.
The service was superb. The foods were bland but there were varieties on the menu.
It is not far from the local market. It was fun walking around at night, with the local guide, of course.
Stolling by the river in the morning was relaxing.
Thank you TKC Journeys for reseving us at this place.

Chilas is hot after bracing Skardu. Hotel room has air-conditioning and fan. Clean. No view of Indus from room, but restaurant has views. Room is clean, as is bathroom. Kind of dark, but wi-fi works well.

More like a motel. Apparently the best in town. Very basic rooms and hotel. Set up more like a dormitory. Bathroom flooded twice taking showers. Faucets in sink didn't work. No hangers or coset or safe. The restaurant was nice and big and clean and the food was good. Staff were lovely and friendly. Fine for a nite but wouldn't want to stay longer.

It was a nice hotel, it will disappear after the construction of the dam in the area (will be covered by water). We stopped twice in this hotel travelling to Hunza, for lunch. Decent place taking into consideration the non-options you have in this city.

This is a nice restaurant in the middle of Kohistan at Chilas having good food. Unfortunately, it will submerged in Diamir Bhasha dam that is being built there in few years.Food and service is great but expensive......
