We booked a table at the recently refurbished pub for 2 for Sunday lunch today. When we arrived we approached the barmaid and were told where our table was. We sat and waited for 15 minutes and NO ONE came to see what we wanted. The barmaids were both chatting to each other or to someone who was obviously a...

Every time I go anywhere new I always play safe and order a burger, difficult to get it wrong really... sadly I was proved wrong. The burgers where burnt and sadly no amount of old school off brand sauce could change that. The side we ordered, my partner described and I quote "smelt of feet". Wouldn't even like to think...

As a pub this venue seemed fine, decent food at good value (exceptionally so with 12oz steak), - and live band Likewise the accommodation was ok, a reasonable pub style bedroom. Breakfast, however, was very disappointing. No cereals or fruit. No "what would you like" just two full cooked breakfast delivered to the table. No toast. Very basic and served...

This was one of the worst b&b I've ever stayed at, room was very cold , although bedding was clean, breakfast consisted of one small tough sausage bacon fried egg beans and one slice of toast on top. No cerial and when I asked for more toast with marmalade I was told we don't that. We booked two double rooms...

Friendly staff, good bar food in the evening and reasonable cooked breakfast. Plenty of car parking space. Rooms basic but clean, just let down by very worn out mattress on the bed that badly needs to be replaced.

Stayed for one night, the bar has a welcoming, friendly and unpretentious atmosphere. The food was excellent and the steak pie was perfectly done. I'd return for the food and drink, not the room though. It was really not comfortable by any basic standards. It's a shame because the surrounding area is exceptionally pretty and there isn't much choice of...

I had one of the best nights sleep that I've had in a long time. All the staff were friendly and chatty and genuinely interested in my needs. The room was clean, warm and the bed very comfortable. The en-suite shower room was a reasonable size and adequate for my needs. Overall it's good honest country inn, conveniently placed for...
