This pub is set in a wonderful country location with plenty of beautiful walks and things to do with young children. The management are extremely friendly with plenty of knowledge within the area. The food is outstanding and the staff are very inviting, I would recommend this establishment to anyone travelling to or through this village

The Crown is an old coaching Inn set in a pretty village and used mainly by locals. Lots of character and a very friendly welcome. B&B accommodation is across the courtyard from the pub up a steep flight of stone steps. There are 2 reasonably spacious double rooms available, both with ensuite facilities. Tea and coffee facilities are provided as...

Stayed in Fearby for week visited this pub twice once after walking Hack fall then came back for lunch. The landlady is a real gem friendly helpful and a really good cook. The locals should be so pleased to have such a nice landlady on their door step and visit for a meal to support the pub. We had a...

Booking in for our two night stay over, we were greeted with a warm and friendly welcome. The new manager who had only been in post a few days showed us to our room. It was bright, comfortable and clean and she provided fresh milk for our tea tray. In the bar, a good selection of real ales and well served....

Called in after a walk around nearby Hackfall Woods. There is a good range of hand pumped ales including their own Hackfall: a honey tasting but surprisingly nice pale ale. Pool is only 50p too. Otherwise this pub is dated and smelled of dog. It is a shame because of its location close to the woods and duck pond in...

Chanced getting a room at last minute on a Friday , luckily due to a cancellation we got a king size room for only £50 unlike the high prices in Maham 3 miles up the road. Great location , dog friendly proper pub grub without the inflated prices of the nearby towns. Would highly recommend especially if you like your...

Only stayed one night, friendly staff and customers, room was spacious and comfortable with all the required facilities. Range of beers, as for food in the evening the starter soup was fine, the mains a bit basic and a point for improvement, the sweets looked fine but we were full. The breakfast was excellent in all aspects. The village is...

“there are three rooms available - before we left, we were shown around the £80 per night family room - very spacious and well-equipped. The rooms had cool, crisp bedding, snow white towels, and modern clean furnishings - I would have been happy to stay in any one of them.”
