Stayed in Fearby for week visited this pub twice once after walking Hack fall then came back for lunch. The landlady is a real gem friendly helpful and a really good cook. The locals should be so pleased to have such a nice landlady on their door step and visit for a meal to support the pub. We had a... More

Booking in for our two night stay over, we were greeted with a warm and friendly welcome. The new manager who had only been in post a few days showed us to our room. It was bright, comfortable and clean and she provided fresh milk for our tea tray. In the bar, a good selection of real ales and well served.... More

Called in after a walk around nearby Hackfall Woods. There is a good range of hand pumped ales including their own Hackfall: a honey tasting but surprisingly nice pale ale. Pool is only 50p too. Otherwise this pub is dated and smelled of dog. It is a shame because of its location close to the woods and duck pond in... More

Chanced getting a room at last minute on a Friday , luckily due to a cancellation we got a king size room for only £50 unlike the high prices in Maham 3 miles up the road. Great location , dog friendly proper pub grub without the inflated prices of the nearby towns. Would highly recommend especially if you like your... More

Only stayed one night, friendly staff and customers, room was spacious and comfortable with all the required facilities. Range of beers, as for food in the evening the starter soup was fine, the mains a bit basic and a point for improvement, the sweets looked fine but we were full. The breakfast was excellent in all aspects. The village is... More

Service was superb - very friendly and efficient - the room was beautifully furnished with everything we needed. The food was brilliant - again great service and value for money. Location was great for walks and views and relaxation but close enough to all amenities Liked it all especially the landlord

We stayed here on July 17th and 18th 2015 for two nights. We arrived late Friday night and were welcomed very kindly by the landlord. We were shown to our room and we were very satisfied, clean, tidy and modern. Very quiet village so couldn't hear traffic and couldn't hear any noise from the pub. After we settled and got... More

Great village pub. Not massive menu choice - but great portion sizes and well cooked. Very friendly owner who are new. Large dining room, bar, plus outside tables to the front and rear. Very dog friendly. Near Hackfall woods - they let you park in their car park and right in the middle of Grewlthorpe which is a lovely village... More

We stayed in the Crown Inn after another hotel in Masham over-booked and had no room for us. Even though we originally wanted to be in Masham, we were lucky to be moved to such a lovely alternative and Grewelthorpe is a short car ride away. The rooms were cosy with lots of extras (fruit bowl, biscuits, fresh milk) and... More
