Fabulous holiday celebrating my 50th. Lovely touch with bubbly and chocolates. Lovely location, very private. Walking distance to excellent restaurant and batbeque facilities behind the lodge adding to the party atmosphere with special appearance from the Badgers!

Second time stayed here, so that tells you something. Great in the wood get away. Lots of walks, varying in distance. Middle of nowhere, so car needed, but Superstore 10min drive (retail park) and of course loads of interest in and around area. Lodge itself fine, clean tidy. Patio looking little worn from our last visit (10 years back) but... More

My wife and I stayed at Griffon Forest for our honeymoon and were thoroughly impressed. The tranquility of the location, the standard of the lodge and the friendliness of the staff were all top drawer. As a getaway this was excellent as there was no wifi that we could find and the internet connection was very limited. There are walks... More

First of all....people moaning about no WiFi or mobile network? You're in the middle of a forest! The point of these holidays is to get away from it all and have a break in the tranquil surroundings which is what we did :) Lovely scenery, friendly staff, great facilities, and yes, the badgers love chocolate digestives, we stayed in lodge... This was our 4 visit to Griffon Forest, and it gets better every time. Beautiful location, lodges dotted around the woods, lots of privacy. Had a fantastic time watching the wildlife: badgers, squirrels, rabbits and many different types of birds (robins, woodpeckers & chaffinches to name but a few). Badgers came to our lodge every night to be fed, Squirrels... More

Came here last November to celebrate myself and my partners birthdays. We stayed for 3 nights with our dog and it was pure bliss. The cabin (a keepers lodge) was cosy and well stocked with everything you could require. The hot tub was already hot and inviting, reasonably private, no limit to how much you used it. The location is... More

Lovely location, long tree lined driveway (could do without the bumps) to an idilic oasis. Grounds always well tended. We came with good friends of ours who have also been before. The lodge was clean, we turned up the heating as it was a decidedly cool July and quite dark in the communal lounge/kitchen area as obviously we are nestled... More

We stayed in a poachers premier and what a fantastic lodge it was. We stayed Monday to Friday after getting married on the Sunday and what a great place to spend on our honeymoon. From the moment we arrived the staff were friendly and having the shop on site was handy especially stocking up with wine. The lodge itself was... More
