Stayed here for two nights on a Travelzoo offer which meant we had dinner, bed and breakfast. This was the second time we had stayed here. On the previous occasion the ground floor rooms had been refurbished but the bedrooms had not. Now it is fully refurbished and smart and comfortable throughout. We opted to upgrade for £20 a night...

Lovely old house with good quality, spacious rooms. Dining room a bit dark with wood panelling but food good. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Pub up the road selling great beer at £2.50 a pint in a welcoming bar. Would go back to both places.

Travelling on business my wife and I stayed here for one Sunday night Dinner B&B. Its a very nice hotel in a great rural location. The quality of the decoration etc is all very good. Staying on a Sunday is never the best time to see a hotel as the staffing levels are understandably low although the two young ladies...

Booked the Newborough room. Absolutely stunning and worth every penny. Huge sleigh style bed and bath in the bedroom. Absolutely perfect in every way, clean, comfortable and luxurious. Had a three course meal , each course was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious, as was the breakfast. Cannot wait to re-visit. Staff were so helpful and couldn't do enough for you....

We stayed two nights in the Fountains room - a spacious well-equipped double room with all the normal luxury facilities and a very modern large en-suite with roll top bath and separate shower. The hotel is well off the beaten track and set in extensive grounds near a small village with pub selling Theakstons ale. Unfortunately the pool was not...

Have stayed a year ago in a standard room, this time in a beautiful big one with sleigh bed. Luke, in charge, very professional, along with all the other staff. Very enjoyable dinner and breakfast. Super local pub 10 mins walk with real ale choices. Had a fab visit, and would highly recommend to all.
