The Craven Arms was a perfect base for doing the Yorkshire 3 peaks. We had a family room with 2 single beds and 2 bunks which worked well for 3 of us. The food was very tasty and the staff were really helpful and friendly. Because we had a very early start for the 3 peaks walk they made a... More

Friendly and helpful staff. Reasonably priced restaurant and bar. Very comfy bed and very homely room. Would happily stay again. I stayed for 2 nights in order to do the 3 peaks challenge. I had to be up very early to start the day and breakfast was already laid out ready to be had and it was only a short... More

Just returned from our 2nd stay at craven arms now under new owners from our last stay and pleased to say its still very good. The evening menu is excellent and what we had was well cooked and well presented portions big (unfortunately we didn't have room for pudding) Breakfast very good quality ingredients and nice to be able to... A hotel/restaurant recently renovated- still ongoing. Rooms are clean and basic. We ate one night in the restaurant and my husband really enjoyed the chicken. I had a burger which didn't taste homemade and was disappointing. Breakfast was okay but very ordinary.

Stayed here for a couple of nights while visiting the local area. Easy to find on main route. Reasonably priced hotel, clean, comfortable modern en suite room. Excellent staff and management. Ideal for rail enthusiasts for the Settle-Carlyle trips. Highly recommended. "Will" definately use again.

Stayed here for a couple of nights and we were very satisfied. Booked in for bed & breakfast and had an evening meal both nights. The food was excellent as were the rooms. The hotel as a whole was clean, modern and very pleasant. The staff were friendly and helpful. Will definately stay here again.

My husband, son (13) and I stayed at The Craven Arms and could not speak highly enough of the accommodation and staff. Our rooms were modern and very clean and comfortable. Prior to dinner in the restaurant we were welcomed by the locals in the pub for a drink. Dinner in the restaurant was superb and they definitely serve the... More

My family and I visited the Craven Arms last Saturday lunchtime and were greeted by the friendly bar staff. We were quickly served with drinks and menus. The menu provides excellent choice and has lots of yummy sounding dishes so choosing which to have took me a little time but the serving staff were patient and very informative about the... More

The rooms here are very ordinary, like a mid-west American highway motel. Nothing flash here, just fair to middling. On arrival, one of our pillows had what suspiciously looked like a pubic hair on it. It seems like there are new owners who are trying their best. The outside of the hotel is very tired looking and a good lick... More

Stayed over two nights for hill-walking weekend. Excellent food with very friendly and accommodating staff. Bar has good range of beers at very reasonable prices. Made to feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. Keep up the good work.
