On 26th July we celebrated our 49th Wedding Anniversary here, as it was a hot sunny day so we elected to eat in the garden, what a super laid back meal, the service by Sue was faultless with just the correct amount of attention. We ordered the food which arrived perfectly cooked and presented by their chief. All in all... More

We remember the Ram from the good old days and have mourned its decline of late. However, we had a lovely time there this evening to celebrate my birthday. The rustic charm is still there; nothing is too polished and there is no fashionable shabby chic that would be out of place in this wonderful old building. The service was... More

The new owners cancelled our booking 3 weeks before a huge event at Snetterton race circuit. We had booked this in September 2015 for an event in July 2016. They said the previous owners and Booking.com refused to give booking information and they had booked the room out themselves and we're now full, as are all the properties within the... More

Fairytale family suite (Room 2) over two stories - first a very small 'front room', then stairs to a large main bedroom with fabulous vaulted ceiling with exposed beams, or straight ahead for a separate room/closet for the kids and very large tiled bath. Good breakfast, good evening meal. Some road noise, and no A/C so it gets very warm... More

Rooms spacious and clean , staff well mannered and attentive . Food was excellent, with a good selection of gluten free meals . Had a good unbroken sleep due to the quietness, just what was needed after a hard day's work .

The staff were so polite. My husbands fish & chips great but my steak burger was raw!!! The mince looked like it had come straight from the mincer uncooked. Had to send back. The lovely waitress offered to cook something else, but wanted to go. The feedback from the kitchen was "that's how it's done here"!!!! Really?!!!!! Seriously, look in... More

Left it to the last minute to book a meal for 6 but after having no joy anywhere local, suddenly remembered eating here many years ago when it was extremely popular so somewhat surprised they were able to accommodate us. After browsing some of the reviews it would seem it has a mountain to climb to achieve it's former status,... More

Having previously stopped en route home for food at the old ram we thought we'd stay the night as well this time. The family room was perfect, kids had bunk beds downstairs next to a huge bathroom and we had the upstairs in a large spacious and beamed bedroom Great nights sleep was had by all. Dinner menu has a... More

Didnt actually book to stay here but the place we had booked had mistakenly put us down for the wrong date (their fault and apologies accepted) so they got us a room here. We are really glad they did - it was a beautiful building and a lovely B + B. The owners had only recently taken over so a... More

Called in on the way to a wedding reception locally. Only used the Old Ram for a meal, didn't stay over. Ordered a pint of real ale which was not good, tasted like something you would brew at home. Maybe the pipes were not in the best condition ? Service was good if a little slow when we ordered food.... More
