Booked at short notice. Arrived and greeted by husband, shown the 2 rooms booked. Both very pleasant and in a very old house. Given directions to very good local pub (The Compasses) good recommendation. OK, no showers after 11pm, but it's a family home as well so no problem. Breakfast was good and Tracy (1st meeting) was warm, chatty and...

I booked 4 weeks ago to stay for a weekend away for my husbands birthday.... The evening before we are due to stay I get a call to say they have to cancel because she has a "cold" and can't cook. - She sure as hell didn't sound as though she had a cold!..... Completely ruined our weekend away as...

Never have I experienced a more unfriendly, unwelcoming host than Tracy. We had just sat down for breakfast (at 8.30 am) when she reminded us that we had to leave the room by 10am the latest. We were also not allowed to use the wifi, which came across as a little harsh especially since there is no mobile phone reception...

This is a nice small B&B set in a very old farmhouse and located in a fantastic spot so it has a lot of potential. However, the fact that it only takes cash (withouth letting you know in advance), that the shower has barely water pressure, that there is no Wifi available so no chance to plan your next day...

“Lovely B&B..Average Service” We booked this B&B for a weekend stay. The property is lovely and the surroundings are beautiful. However, the service is very, very average. We were driving to Canterbury from London on a Friday after work, and decided to have dinner on our way. We were scheduled to reach around 10.30 pm but were further delayed as...

Had a great stay here. We were welcomed to an amazing house with very beautiful grounds. They have animals which are great to see (even a monkey!!). Such a relaxing place, for a respite from the busy working life. Lovely food and very reasonably priced. Paying cash wasn't a problem as is understandable with a small business. Would definitely stay...

What a wonderful weekend we had, we were made very welcome by the owner when we arrived. The place was in the countryside surrounded by fields and beautiful scenery, it was so peaceful and a perfect place to relax. The garden is beautiful has a huge pond with a mini waterfall, they even have a monkey! The breakfast in the...

Beech Bank is a lovely home with wooden beams, beautiful grounds and a warm welcome. Yes, it has some quirky rules due to being in the middle of the countryside and having a well etc. and having to pay cash rather than cheque (no more cheque guarantee cards) or card (expensive for such a small enterprise) but it's a relaxing,...

We arrived there after spending 1h looking for it, is quite invisible form the road, obviously the landlady on the phone wasn't very helpful and once we arrived there (almost exhausted) she told us that the way it's very well indicated... Then induction time came, be prepared to strict rules and not much flexibility, it seems that the landlady is...
