I went to this lovely pub with my mum for a meal. The service was excellent and friendly. The staff were very attentive and we had a really nice evening. The food was delicious and well priced. I am looking forward to a return visit on my next trip to Kent.

Comfortable pub B&B, visited Whitstable for blessing of waters service, good breakfast, continued on to visit relatives. This property is well located for Canterbury, and is within an easy drive of much East Kent.

Had a wonderful meal here this evening with our best friends. What a fab place. The food was excellent and the service very good indeed. Two of us had Hunters Chicken, one Lamb Tagine and the other Paella. All very good indeed.Couldnt manage a pudding due to the generous mains. Would love to return when We can find the time.... More

We had a great stay here and wish we had been able to stay longer. Friendly and inviting the food was fantastic and the room was clean and comfortable. The bed was inciting and we had a restful sleep.

We stayed four nights at 'The Duke' and were very pleased with out stay. The staff were very relaxed and friendly, the food excellent and the beer well looked after. The room was a little small for two with 16 day's luggage but the other two rooms were larger and it was luck of the draw. The village is a... More

I stayed here when I visited Barham to attend a friend's funeral. My room was very comfortable, nice and clean and had everything I needed. Breakfast was lovely and my only mini gripe would be that they did not have gluten free bread available. However, chef was happy to make me toast the 2nd morning when I gave him some... More

We visited the Duke of Cumberland today as a small group. We were asked to select our choices before we went and this we duly did. Not an unreasonable request if you are a large group but on this occasion we weren't. We had to wait a ridiculous amount of time for the food to arrive and I had to... More

This place was recommended to us as we were looking for somewhere with a nice play area to keep our toddler amused. I booked a table in advance as it was Father's day but actually we were lucky with the weather and ended up sitting in the garden. Staff were friendly, service wasn't slow and the food was good (desserts... More
