My stay was great. The hotel is gorgeous, the rooms super-clean and beautiful. The breakfast was great and the staff so solicitous and nice. Pomerode is a lovely small town in German style in SC. So many nice things to do.....

The review's title says it almost all, but this was an unexpected good experience. Maybe my wife and I were just looking for a nice place to rest and enjoy Pomerode's German legacy. But mind you, potential would-be visitors: don't expect sophisticated services, lots of activities at the Pousada. It is a B&B type of organization, very clean, well decorated suites. Add to that a panoramic sight of Pomerode and region from any window and you are just minutes away from most must-visit places in town.

Though 2 Km from the centre, it is the ideal place if you have a car - during fuel shortage due to strike, it was not possible to rent one at NVT. The staff (and B&B owners) are quite understanding, so given the whole fuel shortage scenario, I understand they refunded quite a few clients who could not get to Pomerode for the long holiday weekend. They also have three bikes for guests free of charge. Distance from the center guarantees nice views and it is a quiet place. Silence is observed from 10 p.m.-ish to 8 a.m. That noted, there are the screaming children of whom we might be victims anywhere in the world. As far as I witnessed, none of them misbehaved terribly during our stay due to close control by most parents. Room 06 is the oldest, but the only room upstairs in the main house - probably the only one with a balcony and very private. Eventual conversations and noise of dishes may be heard from it because of the vaulted ceiling in the reception and breakfast areas, but we slept fine. Cleanliness could improve a bit. There were a few spiders webs and dust at high places, and under the bed. In general, very clean an organised. The place has an overwhelming collection of items. So keeping it tidy is a herculean job. Breakfast was very good and varied. Freshly made individual portions of scrambled eggs, for instance. And there is always coffee and cake on the counter in the afternoon. The two guys who alternate shifts at reception are the highlight of the place. Rodrigo and Carlos try to accommodate every guest's needs - taxi, reservations, adjusting bikes, fresh herbal tea, putting away toys guest kids and their parents take out of the box and leave around,... Everything accompanied by a spirited chat and a smile.

We all loved this Pousada Branca Boutique! Perfect location, nice house, very "joyable" people, clean, great swimmingpool, ... do I have to continue :-) We would like to thank you all for this experience. It made our trip worth coming to Brazil (we are from Europe, Belgium). Thanks, Cris Claessens & Claire Wauters
