A welcome stop in the southern Free State / Upper Karoo on the N1 main road between Cape Town and the northern part of South Africa. Freshly prepared food with home made pies and good coffee their speciality. Friendly and effective service and clean rest rooms.

Our family decided to make this our stopover on our return journey from the Southern Cape. We stayed in 'Sandra's flat' which is a fully equipped, two bedroom flatlet with all you need for an overnight stay. We had a lovely dinner and breakfast and experienced South Africa hospitality first hand. Highly recommended!

This was one of our favourite overnight stops when driving to the Cape but it has slipped a bit in our estimation. The roast lamb dinner was very good, as was the breakfast and the coffee, but the rubber filled pillows and hard mattress took away what should have been a comfortable sleep. The rooms are spotlessly clean but the...

Thank you for reviewing your stay with us. Feedback is of vital importance to us to ensure our guests are happy. We are sorry to hear that you were unhappy with some issues as mentioned above. We replaced the pillows with new ones and gave attention to the mattress. We are in the process of upgrading our units and soon...

Very friendly staff and owners. The rooms were attractive and clean. We self catered so we didn't have their meals ( they offer breakfasts and dinners). Only concern is that in our unit we had a bath no shower. Non the less a great stop over for a night or 2. Good value for money.

As a stopover on the N1 Kuilfontein is super convenient. The rooms have great beds, a dining area, small kitchen with fridge and filter coffee and of course en suite bathrooms. Dinner is local fare of three courses and breakfasts ample and well prepared. The staff are fantastic!

What a welcome stop just off the N1 in South Africa, near Springfontein. This Guest house is "in the middle of nowhere" and offers Dinner, Bed and Breakfast - all excellent just a few hundred meters off the N1. Could not be more convenient, friendlier or more welcoming. The rooms (we occupied the Ironing room!?) are clean well equipped and...

We had an overnight stay at Kuilfontein Guest Farm, we were booked into the Annex room with the full package of Dinner Bed and Breakfast, and we were not disappointed, the rooms were clean and very comfortable and very warm beds, plenty of blankets provided and electric blankets on all the beds, although the mattress on double bed in the...

I last reviewed the Kuilfontein Guest Farm and Farm Stall in 2012, but we have stayed and/or dined there a few times since then. We again overnighted there on both legs of our journey to and from the Southern Cape. The hospitality, facilities, service and food remain to be relaxed and excellent. Thank you Sheldon and Martinette! You can expect...

At the last minute, we decided to stay over on our way back to JHB. Kuilfontein was exactly half way and when I spoke to Martinette, she was very helpful and accommodating on such short notice. Shelton, her husband made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. We stayed in a huge and lovely farm house. Waking up...
