We last stayed at Prior Grange some years ago as we seldom travel this route. Once again, we were accommodated in the Garden Cottage which we love. Sheryl and Blackie de Swardt are superb hosts. Meals are served in the cottage. They farm merino sheep and the lamb dinner we were served was delicious as was the breakfast the following...

Excellent accommodation in a lovely setting with highly professional service. Sheryl and Blackie are gracious hosts. The cottage is beautifully decorated with everything we needed. Food was served in the cottage - both dinner and breakfast were delicious. Everything was clean and the bed was very comfortable.

Karoo Sheep Farm off the beaten track! The ideal stop over from Johannesburg to Eastern Cape! Friendly hosts, good home cooked meals, quaint loft room bar for pre-dinner drinks! Old fashioned but very well run and clean and tidy! We are always greeted as old friends!

We visited Prior Grange twice on our way to and from Johannesburg. We had such a great stay both times. Sheryl,Blackie and Stephen are wonderful hosts. The cottages are beautifully decorated and the food was delicious. Our evening visits to The Loft were so much fun.

We stayed in Prior Grange Cottage. Decorated and furnished in keeping with the beautiful historic building. Interesting self-guided walk around and through the farm sheds (full of interesting and old farm memorabilia) and surrounding area. Immaculately keep gardens. Quaint pub open from 6 to 7 to all guests and excellent supper served in our own room.

We arrived later than expected and we had booked the dinner. Luckily we let the owners know in advance that we were going to be late and they kept the dinner for us. Brought it to our room which is perfect as we were very tired from our trip. Cottage was very clean and big. You feel like you have...

We have tried to stay here on a few occasions as it has been recommended, but they are always full! It is not far from the main road. We were pleased to stay in The Gum Tree Cottage next the magnificent old gum tree. Our stay was comfortable and the accommodation was spotless. Sheryl made us so welcome and invites...

We stayed in Willow Cottage on the first night of a week-long trip through the Karoo, and it was the perfect starting point. The Cottage is set well away from the main farmhouse, which was ideal for our long-range (and loud) toddler to roam and burn off energy without disturbing other guests. The kitchen was extremely well appointed, with every...

Great place to overnight between Johannesburg and the Cape. Great cottages good people and wonderful dinner and breakfast. Spring is a great time on the farm and will certainly be using this stopover regularly. Highly recommended.
