We booked a log cabin for 2 nights stay and stayed in No 6 "Maiten", with friends in No 5 cabin next door. Positives: The cabins are quirky, well equipped, clean and well laid out. The bonus of the stay was a free guided walk at midday to the waterfall - probably more informative if you can speak Spanish -...

I stayed here for 1 day, and the cabin was great, it has a balcony in front of the river, has heater or AC according to the weather. They were really nice, they have like a mini zoo, a hiking trail and a tour to the waterfall. I enjoyed my stay there.

A big group of us went, and spent a day there. Roughly an hour from Santiago, there is wonderful scenery, a pool, and BBQs with tables, all set up to bring your own food for picnics, etc. The place is lovely, the pool area is really nice and there is also a small poolside 'bar' which sells freshly made juices...

Brilliant day out whitewater rafting on the Maipo. They are really well geared up - definitely safety first, but then hi-octane adrenaline ride. Simon was fantastic - just do it. Then after lunch zip wire across the river - perfect

If you love the outdoors, this is the place to stay in the mountains near Santiago. It's located in the Maipo canyon, right on the Maipo River about an hour from Santiago and an hour and a half from the airport. The staff was especially courteous. Several staff members speak English (including Jaime and Maria Paz). Even though we don't...

It's a bit odd to plan your vacations at a relaxing, countryside type place that's 1 hour drive from home. Yet we did it and it was fantastic. A little expensive, but it worth it 100%. We stayed at this domo for 5 kitchen included. It felt like being in the house of Bilbo Baggins and my kids loved it....

Rafting, canopy, horseridding, swim, trekking, food, differents programs to do in a day or more and very safety. The only problem: the activities don´t start at time....and the restaurant is very slow to attend the customer... so consider this for your program day....

Gorgeous scenery, great encounters with pumas, and a fun and manageable hike. Plus the little cafe had an excellent salad and great espresso drinks. A really memorable and beautiful way to end our trip. We did not stay in the hotel- just did a day trip up the canyon and a hike at the hotel.
