We stayed at Cascada de las Animas for two nights, at the beginning of our trip to Chile. We chose it primarily because of the activities offered (river rafting, horseback riding, zip lining). The activities were fun and the guides/staff were very nice, friendly, and helpful. We used their transportation service, so we were picked up at the Santiago airport,...

The Cascada de las Animas is located approximately 1½ hours away from Santiago. On arriving reception and completing check in, a vehicle took us and our luggage to our lodge as a 10-minute walk from the main reception to the lodge area. The room we stayed in was large and very well decorated. The bed was a good size and...

The loft we stayed in was beautiful and very well done. There was plenty of room for our family of five. It was clean and really comfortable. Unfortunately, on the day we arrive the place was pretty much closed EVEN THOUGH WE HAD A RESERVATION. The establishment was holding a day for staff (which is really great but they shouldn't...

Our hotel in Santiago helped arrange a spur of the moment (next day trip) up to the Cascada de las Animas for a trail ride. I love horses, and love trail riding wherever I go if it can be done. This place was more than I could have hoped for. Excellent, on time transport to and from our hotel to...

Went rafting/zip lining/hiking today at Cascada de la Animas. Our guide, Carlos & Simon, took us on a fun journey down the Maipo river! The water was freezing so naturally I went for a swim! 😂Wish the photographer was on hand to take pictures.

We did not stay at the hotel, we did the rafting excursion. We self organized this excursion and it was easy to book and organize, we loved this rafting excursion. We were staying in Santiago and we hired a car (easy - scenic drive) to Cascada de las Animas. Once we arrived in the main entrance we went to the...

We booked a log cabin for 2 nights stay and stayed in No 6 "Maiten", with friends in No 5 cabin next door. Positives: The cabins are quirky, well equipped, clean and well laid out. The bonus of the stay was a free guided walk at midday to the waterfall - probably more informative if you can speak Spanish -...

I stayed here for 1 day, and the cabin was great, it has a balcony in front of the river, has heater or AC according to the weather. They were really nice, they have like a mini zoo, a hiking trail and a tour to the waterfall. I enjoyed my stay there.

A big group of us went, and spent a day there. Roughly an hour from Santiago, there is wonderful scenery, a pool, and BBQs with tables, all set up to bring your own food for picnics, etc. The place is lovely, the pool area is really nice and there is also a small poolside 'bar' which sells freshly made juices...

Brilliant day out whitewater rafting on the Maipo. They are really well geared up - definitely safety first, but then hi-octane adrenaline ride. Simon was fantastic - just do it. Then after lunch zip wire across the river - perfect
