We had an extremely comfortable two night stay at this charming B & B. The owners were wonderful and very accommodating and made us feel very welcome. The rooms were lovely and clean and the bed very comfortable; we slept like logs! Highly recommended.

I stayed at this establishment for 4 nights while working in the area. While overall I would say my stay was acceptable and I had no complaints about anything, I would recommend some minor improvements which would make this B&B worthy of is star rating. As someone else mentioned, the shower curtain has a tendency to stick to you while... More

We also stayed in the Cavell room which was spacious and twin bedded. Coffe, tea, biscuits and fresh milk was available. En suite, small but adequate, as there was also a sink in the bedroom. TV, hairdryer, fan supplied. The owners Ros and Peter very helpful with local information and friendly. They have only taken over recently and are continuing... More

There are many positives: * The owners were very friendly and informative. * It's cheap compared to other hotels in the vicinity. * There's a good lounge area for guests. * Wifi coverage is good. * The bedroom is of a reasonable size and is quiet - we slept very well. * The beds are comfortable. But there are also... More

The present owners were friendly and welcoming. The rooms were comfortable and clean. However, one could not feel that everything was carefully measured ie 6 sugar cubes, enough coffee for two cups etc. The shower and bathroom really could do with a makeover. Some may consider the venue to be 'rustic 'others may say it needs a massive cash injection.... More

Had a great night here. We stayed in the Cavell room, very bright and cheerfully decorated, very comfy bed and very good breakfast served two doors down the road. The owners are very friendly and happy to chat. We had a lovely stay and would definitely go back.

Recently went in The Old Bakehouse we were very well welcoming by the hosts. The room was clean and the house is charming. Also, Walsingham is a very charming village. If you can do the countryside cycling, so lovely! We'll come back. Cécile and Cédric.

I has a one night stay 21/22 November 2013. I was visiting family in Walsingham where my ancestors came from and as I travelled by bus decided to stay overnight. Booked in to the Old Bakehouse only, very easy to do. On arrival I was welcomed very warmly by Richard "mine host", and was pleasantly surprised by the lovely log... More

A wonderful B & B with just about everything supplied in a very comfortable room - even a foot spa. Breakfast - pre-ordered the night before - is really first class with such upper markey items like Wilkins Tiptree preserves on the table. Interesting pictures, books, curios and odd items for sale. A most friendly host to whom nothing is... More

I have just returned from an eight night stay at The Old Bakehouse. I have been staying here regularly for thirty years - eight years with the present owners. The accommodation is excellent. The rooms are spotlessly clean and replenished daily with fresh milk, biscuits and bottles of water. There is always a supply of means of making tea, coffee... More

“This is an old building with narrow staircase so perhaps not get for the less mobile. Also the en suite suite shower room is small and not really for larger people.”

“As you would expect in an old building the stairs are typically narrow and turning, so not suitable for someone with severe mobility problems. I use a walking stick but was able to cope. All rooms would be quiet as Walsingham is a very quiet village.”
