The hotel, rooms, restaurant and service are all terrific. The only thing that lets it down is the lack of privacy. From your room you can hear people outside, the building, in the corridor, above the room and in the en-suite. And vice versa.

Greeted with a smile, a great start, and were given a beautifully clean room. The COVID guidelines were strictly adhered to everywhere. We felt so safe we booked for Christmas. The meals were superb. The breakfast one of the best I’ve had anywhere.Fish and chips were delicious, the home made pie melted in the mouth and the venison cooked to perfection. I can’t praise this establishment enough. The staff are so friendly and can’t do enough for everybody. By the time we left I’d run out of superlatives

We stayed here for three nights and found the location to be great. Staff were very friendly and could not be faulted. Our dogs were well catered for with them being allowed in the bar and also in the restaurant at specific tables. I will definitely be coming back

Stopped off while out cycling in the New Forest as we had been before over the years while holidaying and remembered how good it had been. Due to COVID obviously had things in place which was good but were initially greeted by two quite abrupt members of staff and to be honest we nearly left. We stayed as we were all very hungry and thirsty. The lady who ended up serving us was lovely and the food we ordered was very tasty, good sized portions. She was also very helpful with my dietary requirements. We ended up going back for breakfast today before heading back home and again service was good and food was lovely especially the plant based breakfast.

We stayed here for two nights to replace our planned fortnight in Corsica to celebrate my seventieth birthday. The staff were very friendly and our two Westies were truly welcomed rather than just tolerated! Special mention for Magda who was really lovely! We dined elsewhere but the freshly cooked breakfasts were great. Lovely peaceful location. Not cheap but happy to recommend especially to dog owners.
