Visited here for our first camping experience with our two and four year olds and a large group of others with kids. Booked loads of plots together. A great experience all round. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Site was well looked after with clean toilets she showers, fridge and freezer to use, cafe serving a good variety of food... More

Great campsite, we were allocated a lovely quiet pitch away from big groups and we really appreciate the thought that went into that. The shop is fabulous, full of delicious things (posh goodies and tunnocks tea cakes - what more do you need?!) and sitting on the lawn with a drink from the cafe is lovely.

We visited for a long weekend and it was such a welcomed weekend break away from the hustle and bustle of life. The little lady in the shop couldn't have been more helpful when we arrived and always smiled! Perfect,I'm sure th chickens smiled too lol

We stayed at Wing Hall for a weekend in our campervan. Just partner and me and the dog. We arrived late on Friday night but very pleasant welcome (we had rung ahead to say we would be arriving later than 8pm cutoff). All facilities were open and we were given our pitch, electrical hook up card and a very helpful... More

As the title says, this is our 5th year here, we come to see the ospreys and camp. The views are second to none, the camp site facilities are basic, but what are you looking for when camping?? I've never had to queue for a shower, it is always hot and there are free hairdriers!! The toilets are easily walked,... More

Just back from a lovely weekend camping. Booked it despite some mixed reviews online. The grounds are gorgeous with amazing views of the countryside. The cafe and farm shop had enough stock to not need to leave the campsite if you just want some peace and quiet. The village has a pub and it's close enough to Rutland water. Would... More

Our day started with a visit to Uppingham to buy dog food !! After our visit to the town we wanted a dog friendly lunch venue. A tourist sign on the road between Uppingham and Rutland water caused us to turn off and we chanced on Wing Hall. The Farm Shop attracted us but we found a terrace and lawn... More

My partner and i stayed in our caravan for 3 nights. The price including EH was fine at £20 per night. When we pitched up it wasn't too busy but later on a lot of families arrived with many children. i am not a total ogre but found that the sound of loud screaming and shouting was a bit much... More
