In Douglas Town we did stay and met a little gem Standing tall above them all to receive the diadem. I am sixty nine years old and my wife is sixty six. Over the last twenty five years since the the children became independent we have been holidaying abroad from Benidorm to luxury cruises. We are now both losing our... More

We arrived by ferry into Douglas and drove a couple of miles along the coast to Englewood. A friendly place to stay with a lovely atmosphere and Margaret made us very welcome with fresh tea, coffee and cake (Margaret bakes a new cake every day and leaves it by the tea/coffee area in the lounge). Our room was spacious, clean... More

An excellent guest house fully justifying its 5 star rating. Margaret made us very welcome. She keeps the place spotlessly clean and tidy, and provides an excellent, well cooked breakfast. The lounge and conservatory are also comfortable and relaxing, and there are lovely views across the bay from the bedroom and communal rooms. Margaret is happy to advise on where... More

maragret is the whirlwind who is the landlady. She prides herself in excellent facilities and the beds are really comfy. Facilities are of the highest standards and the breakfast keeps you going all day. This is the fourth year we have been and already booked for next year

My wife and I together with our friends stayed at Englewood Lodge recently and enjoyed a holiday in the Isle of Man. This small hotel is well situated on the edge if Douglas in Onchan and the proprietor makes you very welcome and provides excellent quality rooms and food. We stayed in the Superior Suite a large well furnished room... More

We stayed for seven nights and Margaret the proprietor made us feel welcome from start to finish. We arrived late on Sunday evening and were welcomed with carrot cake and coffee. The breakfasts were freshly cooked every day and were very tasty. As first-timers to the island, Margaret shared her local knowledge and suggested where we could go. The room... More

This was our second visit to Englewood Lodge and we have booked again for next year. This sentence should be sufficient to advise others about this accommodation, however perhaps a few more words will express our delight and satisfaction with our most recent visit. Margaret, our host, provides excellent accommodation, where no cost has been spared and all food is... More

We have stayed on a number of occasions with Margaret at Englewood Lodge for around the last 6 years now. Margaret is so welcoming and we always look forward to the warm reception on arrival. The location is fabulous, set overlooking Douglas bay from an elevated position with safe parking just off the road. The rooms are impeccable and always... More
