Congo Bongo was a great experience. We had the Big Dream House. It was nestled in the jungle with so much wildlife! The kitchen was fully equipped. There were three bedrooms, each having their own bathroom, which was fantastic. Laundry service was provided every day free of charge! The staff was so friendly. ERNESTO was always there with a friendly smile to answer any questions. We absolutely loved all the dogs.Pinglin was our constant companion. Honestly, our experience was great. The only thing I could offer for improvement or a more comfortable stay would be to bring a travel fan! (your own fan). We always bring our own fans, and thank God we did.The beds have a very nice mosquitoe net, however, the ceiling fan is above it, and even on high speed.., you can not even feel a breeze. Please bring your own fans with you! It is soooo humid. It did feel so nice to sit at the big kitchen table on the deck. The fans above the table were powerful. And that's the only place we felt really comfortable. The other thing is plan on renting a car or a golf cart which we did. It is quite a walk to anything. There is a beautiful beach path from Congo Bongo to the beach. It is about a seven minute walk through the beautiful jungle. Bring a flashlight or a head lamp if you plan on coming back at night. The path to the beach is decorated with lots of beautiful things....We loved the staff, the dogs and the jungle vibe! This place is a gem. Just be aware you are in the jungle baby.Pura Vida.

We really loved our stay at Congo Bongo - we loved the semi open kitchen with the monkeys above us! It was stunning to be able to sit on the veranda with the rocking chairs and hammock and listen to the jungle! We also appreciated the free laundry service! It was a very quiet place which we loved with a wonderful walk through the jungle to the beach! An absolute highlight of our holiday!

From the minute we arrived, we were welcomed! My son had a foot infection and just wanted to lay down. They checked us in(very early)and even gave my son a ride in a wheelbarrow so he wouldn't have to walk 🙂.We stayed at the sweet dream house and it's amazing! There's decorations everywhere, we saw monkey's right outside and the housecleaner came to get us to show us a sloth. The walk to the beach is fun and the beach is beautiful! We would definitely stay here again

My family stayed in the Dream Palm House, and it exceeded all expectations. Such beautiful surroundings and the beach on the property was so great. The lady that cleaned the house was very attentive and did a wonderful job. No negatives! We will definitely visit again!

This is my third time here, and always is a very different experience, every year the rescue programs for wild animal enviroment brings more fauna, this year we saw spider monkeys, congos, whiteface monkeys, sloths, weird frogs different kind of birds, insects, spiders, etc. A peacefull little piece of paradise in the Caribbean shore of Costa Rica, where you can rest in a hammock, lay on the sand, read your favorite book, take a glass of wine in front of a old piece of ship, I´m in love of this place, very quiet, great for rest and disconect of the entire world, go to the beach, riding on bycicle (banana), eat rice and beans, go party with reggae and latins music, meeting amazing people, take the sun, see the sunrise at morning, hiking to another national parks or beaches, playing with very quiet waves at the Manzanillo beach (like a swimming pool) walking through the private "jungle" and suddenly you are in front on beach. Thank you Dan, Marisol and Masai for all the kindness, hospitality, good talks and laghings, thanks for sharing your home and make us part of you for few days <3 I can't wait to come back and enjoy it one more time and keep in love of @CongoBongoEcoVillageCostaRica!!!!

We stayed at Congo Bongo in September and four months later am still thinking about how wonderful it was and how much i'd like to return. We were in Dream Nature House which was very comfortable (especially the hammock!) and well equipped with everything we needed. The free laundry service was much appreciated and all the staff were so friendly and polite. You really are surrounded by nature here - we saw multiple sloths and loved watching (and hearing) the howler monkeys crashing through the trees above us. The beach is fabulous and the feeling of floating in the warm clear waters listening to green macaws chattering in the trees is something we'll not forget.

Great resort in an amazing setting of the Gandaco-Manzanillo Wildlife Refuge. Fantastic vacation house settled in the lush surroundings in the tropical rainforest. The daily early morning trip to the tropical white sanded private beach is breathtaking navigating a narrow path with the Howler Monkey family just above you. The hosts Daan, Marisol and Masai are relaxed and very friendly. We had a private massage organized for us on our patio of the Dream Palmhouse. We will definitely make ourselves regular guests here! Thank you from Amsterdam The Netherlands.

This is our 4th visit to Congo Bongo and was for our 20th wedding anniversary. We always stay at the Dream Nature House. We love Congo Bongo. The atmosphere, people and location is amazing. You have a short, fun walk to an amazing beach with lots of amazing art along the way as well as around the EcoVillage. We love being in the jungle and you have a kitchen with a frig, stovetop and sink. Also it comes with all you need to make meals in the jungle. The staff is amazing and helpful. They check in everyday but are not overwhelming. You have access to daily laundry service if you need it. Also enjoy the animal sounds and the visits from the family's dogs and cat. The Wifi is good. Recommend bringing some flashlights and battery power just in case power goes out. It will happen a few times but usually doesn't last long. We will definitely be back again and again. Highly recommend.

This was my first time at Congo Bongo and I really enjoyed the jungle immersion experience, I loved the accommodations and the direct access to the the beach, but what really surprised me was the care for the environment and the decorations made with plastic and perfume bottles, the hand painted crafts and all the recycled materials used.

Just returned from my 2nd stay at Congo Bongo. Was so thrilled to be able to come back. If you're looking for an authentic Caribbean/beach/jungle getaway, this is it for me. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. The lodgings are clean and rustic, set deep in the jungle. There's a kitchen if you prefer to cook and a limitless number of restaurants a short distance away. The beach is beautiful and secluded and only a short walk from the houses. I love how they repurpose everything to conserve the natural beauty and protect the wildlife. Thank you again Congo Bongo! Looking forward to next time!
