Congo Bongo EcoVillage is a wonderful place, its owners take great care of the details, both in the houses and in the property in general. The place has very wide spaces, lots of nature, trails, animal views and direct access by trail to the beach. Many species of flora and fauna can be observed within the property. A magical place with a lot of nature. The houses are fully equipped with everything necessary to have an exceptional experience during your stay, these have open common spaces and more private places such as rooms and bathrooms. A place that exceeds the expectations of any visitor. I recommend it 100%.
This was our last stop on a two week vacation and Congo Bongo was truly a magical spot. Marisol is the sweetest host and ensured that we had everything we needed to have an excellent stay. Our Dream Nature House was lovely and it was magical laying in the hammock at night, listening to all of the sounds of the rainforest. The walk to the beach was beautiful and the flora on the property is incredible. We found it very easy to walk to town for snacks, groceries, dinner, etc. If you are considering staying here, don't hesitate and book it!
My wife and I had a 5 nights stay in this awesome place, we were looking for a place to rest and this one was the right place, the cabin with all we need to live there, owners do not forgot anything you may need, surrounded by primary and secondary forest with all kind of specimen of forest, birds and butterflies. If you are looking for privacity and a really contact with a virgen nature, this is the place to visit.
We loved staying at Congo Bongo! The house was beautifully setup, spacious, with big comfy beds and a good shower! We loved all the solutions and artworks made of plastic and parfum bottles found and collected. So good to reuse them and create awareness on this massive topic. Also, great hospitality with a bottle of red wine waiting for us upon arrival! Where in the world would you get that?! It was insane how many animals we saw just staying around the house. Different monkeys came to visit us, racoons were cruising around the house (and in the kitchen) and the Blue Morphos (big blue butterflies) were just everywhere we looked. The walk to the remote beach of Manzanillo was just the cherry on the cake. What a beautiful spot this is!
We stayed with our two kids (age 1 and 4) 3 days in the Dream Caribbean house. When we arrived Marisol came immediately to welcome us and she showed us the lodge. In one word: Wow! We loved the lodge and how it’s decorated. It’s a great feeling to be surrounded by nature and all its creatures living there, listening to the sounds they make. We got married close by at Punta Uva Beach. It was special to get dressed and have my makeup and hair done on the porch of our lodge with the sounds of howler monkeys and birds in the background. We’d love to come back with our kids, when they are a little older to show them this gem again.
