It seems the hotel was great before. I am under the impression that it has been abandoned due to the big size it has. The attention from personnel at the lobby who greeted us, was great. Although the rest of personnel looked without motivation. The hotel facilities are not perfect, they had to cover the bungalows with a green canvas...

We arrived just after dusk and we were met by Aurora and Ariana who lead us to our room. They noticed immediately that I was having trouble walking and changed our room to one that had a ramp. The Caribbean and the Almonds and Corals Lodge is cool 24/7, comfortably cool! We even used a light blanket at bedtime. No...

Upon our arrival, I was a little shocked to see that Almonds and Corals' rooms were individual cabins without walls - screens and curtains. After the initial shock wore off, I was pleasantly surprised how well I adapted to being surrounded by jungle. We awoke to howler monkeys. The owner of the property, whose name escapes me, was gracious and...

I loved it! In a tent surrounded by the forest, yet on a wooden platform away from most critters and with running water, shower, tub, and toilet! Now don't expect pure luxury and you will enjoy it and the surrounding forest and beautiful beach just a short walk down the boardwalk. The food was mostly good and the bartender makes...

It seems that the owner is focused only on doing money and do not invest a dollar in maintenance. Very dissapointed with what the hotel offer you on the internet, you see very nice pictures but when you arrive everything is old in room. The toilet was not working and the room had an issue with the lights and the...

Stayed for three nights as part of a two week stay in Costa Rica. The accommodation is ok but very tired and showing its age. You can see that this would have been a great spot in its day but a lot of work is needed to justify the price. The location is right on the beach which we found...

Whow!! How romantic and cosy. Lovely place to be near the beach. You hear the waves. Monkeys in the garden, all kind of flora and fauna next to you. Our daughters 13 and 11 loved it. Good food. Great beds.

My husband and I couldn't quite agree on how to rate this hotel but since I am the one writing this review you will get my (slightly more positive) take on it. We toured Costa Rica for 14 days and after a very busy first week we had planned to chill for five days on the Caribean Coast. We had...

First thing to note about this place is that it is literally in a rainforest reserve so there will be lots creatures and critters around you. The huts or cabins are made with basic materials and the windows are open air screens. It is a great way to experience something new. In the middle of the night you will hear...

This small slice of paradise is a perfect blend of nature and comfort... Positive: Marco (the owner) always had the time to share his vast knowledge on many subjects and to show us the wonderful wildlife infused surroundings...howler monkeys, sloths toucans and yes! 2 eyelash vipers! Angel made the delicious food even better with his winning smile and charm. The...
