Visited Ardtara Sunday past for lunch with my wife. As always made to feel very welcome from the moment you enter the front door by the genuinely friendly yet ultra professional staff. After a pre lunch drink in the front lounge we gazed over a very appetizing menu and after some deliberating our decisions were made. Once taken to our... More

This hotel needs a serious upgrade. On arrival I see weeds growing through the neglected tennis court. The dark panelled dining room is depressing with almost dead flowers on the tables. Having selected and booked my room on line I was given a different one (which couldn't be changed) on the ground floor immediately next to the main front door... More

Well that was a fantasy worthy of game of thrones . The house is nice and intimate staff very friendly but in experienced so why... More

Ardtara Country House is a home away from home. The welcome is warm and friendly and we were advised to treat the hotel as we would our own home. Prior to being shown to our room we were given a tour of the facilities downstairs, an important touch that I have not seen in many hotels. When we were shown... More

This place was actually recommended by the manager of Browns in Town in Derry, so we thought we'd try it out. Was a most wonderful experience, from the moment we arrived, being welcomed at the door by the lovely Valerie, to the amazing antique bedroom, to the exceptional food. The dinner was stunning. The breakfast the same. Folks don't miss... More

Spoke to staff member when leaving and discussed a range of problems with our stay. He informed me that a staff member would contact me within a few days to discuss. Review to be completed when they have made contact with me.

My husband and I visited Ardtara for three nights while visiting Northern Ireland. It is in a beautiful location, not a bad drive to The Giants Causeway, Londonderry and Galway. The food was amazing. The best part of Ardtara was how friendly and helpful the staff was. We flew into Dublin, visited Newgrange, and made it to Ardtara in time... More
