I didn't stay here so I cannot comment on the accommodation, but I stopped here for lunch on my way through to the Wobeyan caves. I shared a pizza with my partner which was absolutely beautiful and another friend got the burrito with salad, the burrito was HUGE and she comment was one of the best she's ever had. All... More

Sure, this place is not the Ritz, but it is one of the best value pubs that we have stayed in. Can't believe some of the negative reviews - if you want something flashier, then dig deeper into your pocket rather than whinging about somewhere that are trying to do the right thing. At least this place is clean &... More

Stopped for a break while heading back from Wombeyan Caves, sadly only place to choose if you don't feel up to the extra travel back to Goulburn. Rooms disappointing with shared bathroom facilities, not easy with little ones. Shared TV room, again, no chance of relaxing quietly watching telly before bed in your own space. Then the meals, while portion... More

This pub is on the main road back to Goulburn from Wombeyan caves. We lucked out with wet weather and everything was closed on a Friday so we got pretty bored trying to fill in time from lunch to dinner. In hind sight we probably should have kept driving back to Sydney and saved some money. We arrived at hotel... More

Stopped in for a cool ale and pub squash for the kids on the way back from Wombeyan Caves. It was so lovely sitting on the bug covered verandah area watching the passing parade. We will be back. Thank you.

If you're looking for a great pub atmosphere, adequate facilities and unbeatable value meals then I highly recommend this pub. This is the second time we've stayed here. First time I was ill (migraine) and the owner was very considerate and allowed us to stay at no charge until I was well enough to get on the bike again. This... More

A group of us stayed just the one night. Very friendly pub, and the manager went out of his way to make our stay even more pleasant. Room was a tad small, thin walls as to be expected in a country pub of this age, but was in excellent condition. Comfortable bed, well set up bathrooms. Pub food was great,... More

Four mates and myself had a really terrific weekend at the Taralga Hotel. We used it as a base for a bit of 4WD adventure in the Ambercrombie National Park. Mick the publican and all his great staff looked after us magnificently. The food was delicious and in country size proportions. The accommodation was homely, comfortable, clean and value for... On a motorcycle ride I was looking for value and comfort - the Taralga Hotel was just what I was looking for. From the moment I opened the front door to be enveloped by the warmth of the fire, to the cold beer from the taps, to the fantastic T Bone, hot showers and comfortable room - the Taralga Hotel...
