A regular visitor to Taralga pub. New owners have recently purchased and are obviously learning the trade. Meal sizes have decreased dramatically. Winter temperatures are often in single digits and the warmth of the pub hit you as soon as you walked in the door. On my last two visits the fire was not lit until lunch time, warming up... More

We stopped here for lunch and had a variety of meals - pizzas, soups, shepherds pies and the Sunday roast. The pizzas where huge and reasonably priced. The Sunday roast was a big serving and the shepherds pie was very good.

We went to dinner here when spending a weekend in Taralga - great pub food - fast and efficient service and nice friendly country atmosphere in the bar afterwards. warm and cosy on a cold winters night. Menu was comprehensive with lots of choice - well presented. Big TV in front bar where we watched the election results. Classic country... More

The hub of activity at night in a small country town . The pub and bistro downstairs is warm and inviting on a cold country night. Plenty of locals and family friendly . There were a couple of indoor and enclosed outdoor eating areas and a bistro area out back with pool table and juke box for the kids to... More

I didn't stay here so I cannot comment on the accommodation, but I stopped here for lunch on my way through to the Wobeyan caves. I shared a pizza with my partner which was absolutely beautiful and another friend got the burrito with salad, the burrito was HUGE and she comment was one of the best she's ever had. All... More

Sure, this place is not the Ritz, but it is one of the best value pubs that we have stayed in. Can't believe some of the negative reviews - if you want something flashier, then dig deeper into your pocket rather than whinging about somewhere that are trying to do the right thing. At least this place is clean &... More

Stopped for a break while heading back from Wombeyan Caves, sadly only place to choose if you don't feel up to the extra travel back to Goulburn. Rooms disappointing with shared bathroom facilities, not easy with little ones. Shared TV room, again, no chance of relaxing quietly watching telly before bed in your own space. Then the meals, while portion... More

This pub is on the main road back to Goulburn from Wombeyan caves. We lucked out with wet weather and everything was closed on a Friday so we got pretty bored trying to fill in time from lunch to dinner. In hind sight we probably should have kept driving back to Sydney and saved some money. We arrived at hotel... More

Stopped in for a cool ale and pub squash for the kids on the way back from Wombeyan Caves. It was so lovely sitting on the bug covered verandah area watching the passing parade. We will be back. Thank you.
