Absolutely spotless accommodation, great hosts We stayed in a twin room, small but sufficient for our overnight stay, lovely big bathroom, lovely location, lots of tea and coffee provided, dog friendly & 5 minutes walk to local pub [Punch Bowl] for great food. Will choose to stay again when we visit the area.

River Cottage is a lovely B&B in a beautiful location. Although a modern house, it is immaculately maintained and presented. We were welcomed very genuinely by the owners. The room did not disappoint. Clean, well-appointed and well presented. The bed was very comfortable, with crisp white sheets, a cosy duvet and lovely pillows. The view from the window, even in...

Stayed for 2 nights in family room with 2 kids and our dog. The location was perfect. In the village and only few minutes walk to a great pub. Owner was polite, courteous but not intrusive. Would have been nice to have been shown where breakfast is served and the conservatory on arriving. Bedroom light, airy, nicely decorated and enough...

The owner and the setting are both fantastic. Very accommodating and room spotless. To sit by the river and have a cup of coffee is so relaxing and starts/ends the day perfectly. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this outstanding B and B and we cannot wait to go back. Thank you for being so kind

We booked for 2 nights. The only room available was the family room, but it was very convenient for where we wanted to be, so booked. On arrival, after a 300+ mile drive, we were told to treat the house as our home. And this was really meant - it really did feel like staying in a friends house, not...

Stayed three nights at the river cottage and had a great time. Clean, comfortable, and very scenic. Full English breakfast, or whatever else you want to have. Small village with one Pub, where you should make dinner reservations. Convenient to Kirkby-Lonsdale. A very pleasant stay. Peter and Elizabeth make you feel very welcome.

Stayed for 2 nights with my 8 yr old son. The twin room whilst small has excellent beds and everything you could possibly need is supplied. Quality fixtures and pretty furnishing make for a relaxed and pleasant stay. My son was a big fan of the full english breakfast and I agreed. Some fresh fruit would have been a welcome...

Loved our stay here. Immaculately clean and good sized room. Breakfast was great. Beautiful location. Friendly hosts. Would definitely recommend. Only 1 pub/restaurant in this village. (Very nice too) But other eateries are close by if you are travelling by car.

A four night stay whilst visiting the Yorkshire Dales. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and just as described. We had a family room which has a good sized ensuite with shower over bath, bidet, sink and toilet. The room has four beds, a double and three good sized singles. The room was very tastefully decorated and had views of the...
