A modern, clean, well designed B&B with three rooms in a separate corridor of the main house. Two of the rooms have western-facing views via bi-fold doors and patio terrace. All very new, comfortable and in excellent order with contemporary fittings and features. Attentive and friendly hosts who cook an excellent breakfast and sensibly provide a large, shared guest fridge/freezer in the breakfast room. Easy, gated parking and about a mile or so into Hawkhurst village with decent pubs for food etc.

What a find this lovely cottage was! We were greeted warmly and showed to our room which was beautiful. The bi-fold doors open onto a seating area with extensive views. Everything was spotlessly clean and the breakfast choices were great. An added bonus was the home made ice cream in the freezer for guests to help themselves! There's so much to see in the area and I'm sure we will revisit and we know already where we'll stay 😀 This was the very best B&B we've ever stayed in.

Meadow Cottage is a great base from which to explore Kent. Harriet and Oliver are warm and professional hosts. We stayed for 4 nights in May 2022. The decor is contemporary, stylish and comfortable. A hearty cooked breakfast each day set us up for each days touring. A number of pubs in Hawkhurst but we went to the closest being The Queen's Inn - fantastic. We have no hesitation in recommending Meadow Cottage to anyone researching accomodation in the region.

Meadow Cottage is an immaculate B&B with stunning views. Our room (Highgate) was stylish and thoughtfully designed, large, light and airy, very comfortable and with exceptional views even in the rain (and we had lots!). Welcoming, friendly and informative (especially about local places to eat), Harriet and Oliver run an exceptional establishment. They have also created a beautiful garden which was full of colour when we visited. We looked forward to the delicious Breakfasts which use high quality ingredients and are well presented. For visiting the many National Trust properties in the area, this could not have been a better location. All wonderful and highly recommended!

From the moment we arrived we knew we were arriving at a bed and breakfast where the details matter. Oliver met us at the door and invited us into his home. And what a home. As soon as we walked in the view across the Weald from the breakfast room was breathtaking. From the garden to the local farmers apple orchards to the pair of Oast houses nestled in the gentle slope half a mile away it was just perfect. Even better the room that we stayed in shared this view with large bi fold doors that opened onto a small private patio. The room and en-suite was clean and tidy and perfectly appointed. Lovely coffee, tea and biscuits were provided and the bed was perfect. Oliver explained that homemade ice cream was available in the freezer and left us to relax in our room. Breakfast was served at the time of our choosing next morning and was delicious with a choice of eggs, salmon, bacon, yoghurts, cereals and even chipotle beans. The toast was delicious as was the blackcurrant jam. Harriet and Oliver run a delightful establishment, perfect for a couple who might want to enjoy the local surroundings. Can’t recommend enough.

The views from our room Conghurst over the Weald of Kent from on high were stunning with greenery as far as the eye could see and oast houses on the horizon all unhindered. Harriet and Oliver are very engaging yet professional and discrete owners. The communications are super efficient and informative from the minute you book and continue throughout your stay but my no means in an imposing way The room we had was modern and importantly the bed was very comfortable The grounds are beautifully kept with shrubs and at the moment spring flowers The breakfast room is airy and open.Breakfast is excellent - simple not fussy but quality. It is an ideal location to visit a number of National Trust properties and Rye is only 25 mins away

This place is simply fantastic. A one night stay while away on a local business trip and was made to feel very welcome. The house and gardens are immaculate and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Oliver and Harriet are very friendly and were more than happy to help with recommendation both prior to and during my stay. They were also more than accommodating with facilitating an early breakfast to allow me to get to my meeting one time - thank you! The breakfast was superb - made all the better for the incredible view you have while you enjoy the freshly, locally sourced, home cooked food. Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone and will be back if / when in the local area!

My mother and I had an excellent stay at Meadow Cottage. We stayed in a very comfortable, spacious en suite with breathtaking views ...Modern, warm, immaculate, light, well presented and very peaceful....Lovely thoughtful touches.... Breakfast was delicious...we enjoyed the homemade granary bread, french toast and the tasty mixed berry compote. Our hosts were friendly and attentive and well deserve their 5 star ratings.......Most enjoyable! Thank you both.

We stayed recently when attending a wedding and had a great time. We stayed in the Pipsden room which overlooks the front of the B&B, and slept very well. The property is very contemporary and beautifully designed - we loved having breakfast overlooking the gardens and surrounding hills. (And watching the birds!) The breakfast was lovely, so scrummy, and we tried the complimentary homemade ice cream (the banoffee was divine). Harriet and Oliver are great hosts and if we are ever in the area again we will definitely be back!

We had a lovely 4 nights at Meadow Cottage. Our immaculate and stylish room was looking out over the garden and Kent countryside and using the bifold doors allowed the already large room to become even bigger. We also had a lovely little patio area to enjoy a glass of local wine. The breakfasts were superb and cooked to perfection and preordering meant no waste - a great idea. Harriet and Oliver were helpful but not intrusive and their website provided some great information. Lots to do in the area and some great local gastropubs so would love to return.
