We stayed one night in the castle. The room was at the tower on two floors, cosy place. Visiting the castle is in the price, parking is free of charge. Diner at the hotel's restaurant was just regular without panache, whereas breakfast was really good. Generally ithe is very nice place, worth to see.

If you are looking for a unique stay - this is it. Located in the small, quaint village of Reszel, this castle is the predominant structure. It has received some restoration, however, not nearly as much as the nearby castle at Lidzbark, so it feels like a more authentic one than staying at the posh Hotel Krasicki attached to Lidzbark Castle. The parking attendant will open the gate for you so you can drive right into the castle courtyard to unload. The rooms are comfortable enough and the bathrooms are especially nice as they seem quite new and were clean. A small improvement that could be made is to put mattress pads on the mattress and to use fitted sheets because as we slept, the flat sheet did not stay in place and we found ourselves sleeping on bare mattress which is not very hygienic. The breakfast was excellent with a super selection of cold cuts, cheeses, fresh breads. fruits, cereals and a few specialties that they would rotate through such as paczki, which is like a donut. A highlight was roasting sausages over a fire prepared in the courtyard in the evening.

Superb accomodation, great English speaking staff, museum of instruments of torture included, not for the faint hearted. Access to a lots of parts of the restored castle makes for a truly unusual stay.

Everything there is real and historic ,also rooms are different and individual. Theres a dungeon ,knights hall and a impressive collection of torture tools ,you can walk and climb ,and find a lot of interesting everywhere ... Cons - breakfast is a little "short" ,car parking is under reconstruction (but still usable).

Booked this on line and thought the picture of the castle was a feature near to the hotel, wrong!! It is the hotel. The road up to the hotel was a bit bumpy for my classic mini but we made it to the main court yard where we parked. The staff were really helpful and showed us to a room which had two, levels in it. We dined at the castle restaurant and had a fantastic meal of traditional polish food which I would recommend. We were also allowed to explore the tower and torture chamber as part of our stay which I did. The views were fantastic across the village and the instruments of torture were interesting. Breakfast was freshly prepared and plenty of selection. Great hotel and I would like to go back

Highly recommended as a tourist attraction and historical place - should be better promoted and advertised as might be hard to find - real haritage must be visited as not many places left like this - torture dungeons and tower are impressive (food accommodation and large car park available) friendly staff and local people makes us really pleased - thank you

Stayed here during an epic cycling tour of Poland.A dramatic and atmospheric castle, a bit like being in Game of Thrones.Supposed to be one of the most haunted castles in Europe.Did not particularly enjoy all the instruments of medieval torture on display but our split level room was very comfortable with great views of the courtyard.Slightly concerned about the positioning of the bed as it could have been quite easy to fall through the banister onto the lower level.Food was excellent here.Quite an experience.Loved the cannon being fired each evening.

Beautiful place with good service and inspiring atmosphere. Good food and service, except that the restaurant as well as the small museum closes early. The wifi did not work very well, but that was a minor inconvenience. Room was large in two floors and there is a lot to see in the castle.

It was a very original, charming and romantic place. Rooms ar clean and convenient. Maybe too modern. Because when You are in the room, You feel the castle just because of the view in the window. Interior of the room was just like in the plain modern flat built in 2005 or something like that. But there is really charming hall in this hotel, with great library and fireplace. I found a little bit inconvenient, when (during the night) found out that night keeper is using this hall as a bedroom. But probably in medieval ages it was something like this too (in a modern hotel it is just inormal). There is also great towe with good view to the town from it. You can visit it for free, if staying in hotel. Also it was very sharming to get to the castles yard and park the car in here. Breakfast is not magical, but the biggest charm is that it is served in the castle, restaurant is placed in here (really offer to take diner in here). In my opinion, if You are going to this town, it is the best place to stay. Really left a good memories and believe that will come back.
