We read very varying reviews before booking this place but have to say that we were very happy with our decision to stay at Rocca Lorenizo. We found the owners to be most accommodating and friendly. They were generous with information (limited English) and also the local wine which they were keen to share with us. Although some of the furniture... More

An interesting place to stay, not sure if the owners want it to be a hotel or a B&B, anyhow its the only place with a pool in the area, so I decided to stay. The owners have created a special home to share, but I am not sure they want you to. You are thrown the rule book on... More

Oh dear...... Rocco Lorenizo should, and could, be such a wonderful place. The approach to the 1000 year old castella through electric gates along a driveway featuring potted plants creates a good first impression. The view from the parking area, and indeed throughout, is stunning. Mountains and valleys as far as the eye can see. The friendly owner came to... More

Fabulous place , beautiful setting and a great host . Going back next month once again as visiting local friends who thought the place was magical . You could not ask more from such beautifully restored old building .

We stayed at Rocca Lorenizo based on a recommendation of a friend and we were pleasantly surprised! Upon our arrival, we first noticed the incredible door and knocker. We walked in and were breathless at the view. The valley of Sulmona in front of our dressed by an olive grove. We were welcomed with such hospitality I never wanted to... More

Rocca Lorenizo is located just outside Pacentro town and overlooks some of Italy's most beautiful scenery. This villa has so much potential but the hosts and hospitality (or lack off) really lets it down. The old, dated decor and cobwebs could be forgiven if there was a sense of welcome however the property appeared to be cold, dusty and uninviting.... More

A beautiful location for a Bed and breakfast unfortunately let down by its hosts unwillingness to realise the potential of such a great venue. We stayed for two nights (weekend) in June as part of 4 other couples attending a wedding in the next village, the entire villa was taken by our group. The villa only has 5 bedrooms and... More

Have recently returned from 2 night stay at Rocca Lorenzia with our 4 month old son and 4 other couples, whilst attending a wedding in the nearby village of Pacentro. The villa itself is lovely, and in the most beautiful surroundings (stunning panoramic views of the surrounding snow capped mountains, despite the 28degree sunshine). It is a short (but very... Rocca Lorenzio was probably one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed. Imagine waking up each morning and looking out your window to see snow capped mountains in the distance. The villa seems more like a castle and we were told it goes back to the Middle Ages, although it has been redone. The grounds are so serene... More

Spent our first night in Italy after arriving in Rome at this wonderful B&B located in mountains. Beautifully renovated classic farmhouse. A very helpful and warm host, who arranged a fantastic 25th anniversary dinner in Pacentro for us. Good website and easy to make reservations. Easily reachable from Rome. Great base to explore Abruzzo.
