Directed here from The Yorkway. Good choice. Had lunch - a small portion of the roast on offer. Thank goodness it was a small portion as we would not have managed a large one. Excellently cooked and very good value. The waitresses were very polite, helpful and extremely friendly. Good Yorkshire lasses.Would call again.

Stayed here for three nights whilst visiting a sick friend. My room was excellent and the breakfasts filling. Evening meal was optional but of excellent quality Situated in the centre of Pocklington wandering round the shops was easy. Quite a few quaint shops

We went to celebrate my 61st birthday. We like Pocklington. We like the walks in the area. This pub is an ideal place to stay. The staff are friendly. The rooms are clean and comfatable. You have everything you need! We will go back

Rooms are spacious, and have all the anticipated bits, such as shower gel and shampoo. Food good in the restaurant but the lighting could be better on a morning for breakfast. Positive was that amongst the normal coffee and tea in the room, there was available cappucino and hot chocolate both by household names.

Lovely hotel in centre of Pocklington. Menu offers a good selection of dishes and the food was very good. The decor in the restaurant is a little dated and dark in comparison to the lounge bar area. Staff were pleasant and helpful but the service was very slow. Worth a visit.

A nice simple hotel. Nice quite chalet type room which was a good size and well equipped with free wifi. Nice food substantial breakfast included and a great selection for evening meal. We were there with a ramblers walking group of 21 which did load them up a little but the staff worked hard to deliver. The position of the... More

Visited with a group of six friends on a Saturday evening. The hotel and restaurant has recently had a significant makeover and the public rooms are now bright and welcoming. The restaurant menu is comprehensive and appealing and offers good comfort food, well presented and in largish portions. We had a wide selection between us and were all well satisfied.... More

We arrived for the weekend at Friday tea time for a family party that night. I had a double chalet room to myself which, though decor is a little outdated, was large, comfortable and clean. The party was in the main building, across the car park. Our table was placed such that to get to the bar either meant scrambling... More

Stayed here overnight during a cycle trip. After looking around Pocklington we decided to have dinner here. There was a good choice on the menu ,I had the goat's cheese/Parmesan tart, my friend had the cajun chicken baguette, enough chicken for two. Both were good choices. Service was good from a very friendly young waitress. We had cooked breakfast which... More

Thank you for taking the time to write your kind review. I'm sorry to hear breakfast service was a little slow. When we have a full house there is usually self service coffee and tea available so perhaps this is something we should look into doing at all times. We will take your comments on board. Many Thanks Donna More
