Nice friendly hotel for overnight stay after coach trip to Newcastle and the Metro Centre. Lovely room with everything you need for your stay. The staff were great, especially the girls who served dinner and breakfast. Food was lovely, piping hot and very tasty. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Nice location and staff very nice and professional. We arrived in the evening and on leaving the car park the place was poorly lit we couldn't work out where the entrance was. The room was clean and tidy and did the job. The bathroom were small but that can't be helped. Tea and coffee facilities were hidden and we found...

We spent 4 nights here recently with a party of 33 senior citizens. The holiday was booked through Glenton Holidays from Scotland. Unfortunately our initial feeling was of disappointment as several of our rooms had no heating/hot water for the first day/night. An engineer was called and this was fixed the next day. The meals were mostly good but some...

Celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary here with friends and family. The table was beautifully set with Burgandy napkins. A table was set to one side for the cake and gifts. The food had been pre ordered and was cooked to perfection. The staff were all friendly and went out there way to make sure we enjoyed the evening.

Comfortable stay in a spacious double room with ensuite facilities. The room appeared to have been recently refurbished and had plenty of hanging space and storage. Water & temperature pressure on the bathroom shower was somewhat temperamental and the floor was a bit creaky, but didn't cause us any disturbance. Stairs to the upper floor were quite steep and narrow...

The hotel is in the process of being refurbished, our room was one that had been finished. It was a lovely room with a surprise in that it had a good sitting area. The Hotel was very busy due to the fact that they had a wedding reception on that evening, this however did not stop them providing a good...

Recently stayed here for 4 nights on a coach tour. Room was nice, adequately furnished, clean and comfortable. Towels were changed each day and toiletries replaced when necessary. Could hear quite a bit of noise from adjoining rooms - wardrobe doors opening and closing, toilets flushing, people talking, etc but didn't cause us too much of a problem. Choice at...

Attended an event at Lumley Castle and stayed here as a cheap alternative to a room on-site. We booked through LateRooms and paid £58 instead of the full tariff of £95. The room we were given was on the small side but what it lacked in size was certainly made up for in comfort. The bed was very soft with...

Excellent hotel. Had a large super delux bedroom . We were on a coach trip so the choice of menu for the evening meal was limited but well cooked and presented. Breakfast ok if you liked full English. The staff were all very friendly and looked after you well. The hotel is out in the countryside so you needed transport...
