Stayed with 2 friends in September 2022 and had an AMAZING time!

Let me start by complimenting the staff because oh boy, the staff members here were some of the nicest people we've met. Always helpful, funny, open to any conversation just GREAT people.

We had a corner room with shared pool, which we shared with 6 more rooms - great choice if you want a bit more privacy and comfort (especially because you don't need to wake up early to get yourself a spot at the main pool). I feel like the fact that we were in the corner made our room quieter, but the hotel was not noisy anyways. The room was cleaned daily and was absolutely spotless, big thumbs up for the cleaning staff!

The food was very good, obviously we enjoyed some dishes more than others, but overall we think it was always well prepared and the variety was good for a small hotel (only 108 rooms)!

We've had the chance to try the SPA, which was amazing, definitely worth spending the extra euros.

The hotel beach was a mere 5 minute walk from the hotel, clean, not crowded, beach bar available until 6PM.

We also went on a little trip to Heraklion, which was very pleasant. The city is easily accessible as the bus stop is right in front of the hotel and the ticket is only 1,50euros/way if you buy it from the small shop in front of the hotel - which is also incredibly convenient.

To sum it all up - we would come back in a heartbeat! We've enjoyed our week long stay to its fullest and once again, a huge THANKS to all the staff members for being so awesome!

Thanks for the excellent holidays. We have never had such great food in All Inclusive option, the people in Here are so kind and helpful. The pool is excellent I love sweaming all day in it. Area is clean and they restrict all the Covid requirements so we felt safe entire stay. The beach is close to the hotel and the drinks and snacks are bring each hour to the beach. Thanks a lot! The hotel is calm and good for couples as well as families. It is quite small while comparing with others close by.

An unforgettable stay at the Sentido Amounda Bay hotel in Crest from start to finish thanks to the exceptional dedication of the teams and the quality of services.

First of all, one of the aspects that impressed me from the moment I arrived was the cleanliness and modernity of the hotel. The common areas were immaculately clean, and the entire establishment boasts a modern design, well-kept green spaces that immediately put us in the vacation mood.

The hotel swimming pools are a real marvel. The rectangular one is ideal for swimmers, providing a space conducive to exercise. As for the gigantic swimming pool with its decks and very comfortable "beds" equipped with thick waterproof mattresses, it offered us very relaxing moments of relaxation in order to peacefully enjoy the sun. The hotel also offers a private beach a few minutes walk away with a bar to enjoy all-inclusive services.

The hotel rooms are also modern and well equipped, which greatly contributed to our comfort during our stay. In addition, the cleaning is carried out scrupulously, which was very appreciable because not necessarily the case in all establishments. The rooms are also equipped with a practical safe for storing valuables or important documents and a small basket of fruit is made available regularly.

However, what made our stay truly memorable was the hotel staff, especially Helene at reception. All members of the team were available, smiling and always ready to help without expecting anything in return (The cleaning person refused a tip, indicating that it was simply normal!) Their dedication to satisfying the needs Customer service was exemplary and we have never seen this in our many trips to other countries! They were even of great help in providing information on activities to do in town, good tips to take advantage of even if this did not fall directly within the services of the hotel which offers excursions.
A huge thank you to Helene who always did her best to respond to our many requests, even making the effort to use the French language with great ease.

In conclusion, our stay at the Sentido Amounda Bay hotel was most pleasant, and we would not hesitate for a single second to recommend this hotel and why not, to return there ourselves in the future because our stay was so perfect at your home, from start to finish.

You have a great team and a quality establishment, and it shows in the overall experience you offer your customers.

Hotel Amounda review

Just spent a wonderful 10 days here at this lovely hotel.

The grounds are lovely and kept very clean and tidy.

Our room was small and had little storage space, but was very comfortable, clean and modern, felt very new. Would recommend bringing travel coat hangers with you. Bathroom is very small (when sitting on the loo you’ll have one foot in the shower and the space between sink and loo is very tight. No mirror in the bedroom but there were USB charger ports next to the bed which was handy.

The vibe of the place is relaxed and quiet which was perfect for us as we are 2 friends who wanted to get away for a rest.

Food is lovely in the main restaurant. Lots of green food very tasty. Probably the best all inclusive food we’ve had anywhere we’ve been before. I like a hot milk oat pate and restaurant staff were so helpful and warmed it up for me in the kitchen. Special thank you to Valia for looking after me every day.

Entertainment wasn’t great but we knew that before we came and hadn’t done for that so it was fine.

Not loads of cocktails in the all inclusive menu but you could purchase others for around €8.

Staff are very friendly and so helpful when you have a query.

You can get pool towels from reception (€10 per towel deposit) and change as regularly as you want to.

3 lovely pools- never had a problem getting sun loungers e en at 10am.We preferred the quiet pool - sun-loungers are the older style there (new comfy beds round the other 2 pools) but they were fine and we preferred the quiet there. Water is very cold (but ok once you’re in) so if you have babies you might want to bring a small inflatable pool to use with warmer water depending on the time of year you were coming.

WiFi is good in the main.

Room cleaned e wry day if you want it with towel changes.

We had massages with Eugeine which were amazing. Give your details to reception and they will get the spa to contact you directly or go to the cabana (by the splash oool) when they’re there and there’s a contact sheet outside you can put your details on to make a booking.

There is a shop just outside the hotel. If you turn right out of the hotel and walk around 10 mins you’ll find other shops and tavernas.

We took a trip to Spinalonga- the former lepper colony. We took the number 1 bus from outside the hotel to Heraklion at 7.15 (20 mins and €2.50) got the 110 bus from the bus station to Agios Nikolaos (just under 2 hours €15) and took a cab to Alounda €16) where we got a boat over. Only had just over an hour there but it was well worth the trip if you’re into your history. Ask at reception the day before for an early breakfast and packed lunch to take with you.

Would definitely recommend this hotel if you’re looking for a laid back restful and quiet holiday and would definitely return.

The hotel needs to improve its service and maintenance. A family of 3 was put in a very small and dirty room. The room was prepared for 2 people. Thank you for putting in an extra bed so I didn't have to sleep on the floor. The mattress on the extra bed had springs and was simply covered with a sheet. These springs pressed on my back. After I asked for a refund and to evict us from the hotel because the room in the photo did not match the room we received, the manager said that this was not a reason to return the money and simply hung up. After I asked the reception twice and the maid once to prepare everything for three, my request was not heard. There is very little space between tables for guests in the restaurant. The staff does not always clear and set the table right away. Well, if you do not have time to take a seat, you will have to stand and wait. Drink machines often dispense plain water. There weren't enough glasses and cups for everyone. Didn't make it in time? Your problem. The staff doesn't seem friendly and in my presence the waitress answered an elderly woman very rudely when she asked when they would finally bring plates to help herself to food. room cleaning is a separate conversation. in our room there were always not enough towels, the shower was dirty, the ashtray was not always emptied and the balcony was cleaned only once in 11 nights of stay. The sand on the beach, which belongs to the hotel, is not cleaned. We often stepped on thorns. The only thing that made us happy in the hotel was the friendly and smiling girl with blonde hair at the bar.

we stayed at this hotel for 13 nights with an all inclusive offer, just to relax. We had a room with a shared pool.We shared the pool with 3 other rooms. There is a little patio and then there is a direct excess to the pool.
Food was good and fresh ans always diversified. Drinks are incl, but some spirits or cocktails are coming with an extra charge, but reasonable priced.
The beach is a 5 min. walk and there is a private part fom the hotel. Unfortunatly no drinks and food there, but you can order a lunchbox from the hotel to take if you like.
The hotel is very clean and renovated. In front of the hotel is a busstop to go directly to the City center of Heraklion or to the airport. Near by the hotel are lots of supermarkets and restaurants.
The staff was just great. I got to mention some of them, because the are extraordinary.
Marina from housekeeping is a real gem, always with a smile and very hard working.
Nikko from the hotelbar, was our prince charming. Not only his cocktails were extremely good but also his charming personality.
Zachos from the poolbar was always up for a little joke and in a good mood.
Kallia from the frontoffice always very helpfull with lots of informations and ideas, she is smiling all the time and a great personality.
Alltough a didn't mention other staff names, they all did a great job and made our vacation something special!
We surely like to go back in near future, as we had a great time!!!

We stayed a week in this hotel in a so called family room (it was too small for 4 people in my opinion). The hotel is designed nicely and situated well just 30 minutes by bus from Herakleion. The service is perfect. Reception ladies, bar and grill men, cleaners, they all smile, greet you and help in any way. The SPA is really good ( with dedicated and knowledgeable lady called Aggeliki). Wine and after sun facials are great.
However, FOOD IS BAD. The choise is limited, very small choice of Greek cuisine, too much fast food. Breakfasts are simply dull and tasteless. Two things that shocked me the most were butter made of palm oil (I read the label and went to the shop to buy a proper butter for my kid) and pangasius fish served for lunch (low quality farmed Asian fish).
It's pity such a great place has such cheap food.

Stayed for the two weeks in august. First the positives- the staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful, especially Nikos the barman. The rooms are all really modern, nice pool area and pool bar offers good food and drinks. The beach is very nice, it’s just a shame it’s a 5 minute walk away. There are a couple things letting this hotel down. The food in the main restaurant is always incredibly similar so after 2 weeks we were very bored of it. The maid didn’t come on 3 of the days which isn’t really great for a 4 star hotel. The main negative for me is the all inclusive drinks. All soft drinks are free, however they are all clearly watered down and pretty nasty. Only a few spirits and cocktails are included, everything else is extra cost from 5-7€. Whilst the hotel bar opens til 1, the all inclusive stops at 11, so you must pay for all drinks for the last 2 hours which just seems like a con. All in all, a very nice stay but the hotel needs to make a few changes if it wants to compete with the top resorts in Greece.

We had the absolute best stay at Sentido Amounda Bay. In fact, we stayed at a five star resort on the other end of the island that only did partial all inclusive and had a way better time at Amounda bay. The staff is super friendly and kind. The rooms are spacious and clean, we even got a little balcony overlooking farmlands and the ocean. The ocean is a 5 minute walk if that where the hotel has a beach bar and tons of beach chairs. Folks had said in previous reviews the beach was dirty but I did not experience that at all, we had an exceptional time in the med swimming and hanging out in the beach chairs. If the beach isn’t your thing they have 2 maybe even 3 large pools. They have several bars and restaurants included in the all inclusive and all of the food was delicious and there were different options each day which was incredible (the 5 star had the same food every day). If you have a rental car you’re in a great location to get to Chania, Agia Pelagia, and several other cool spots around the island. Very central location. Hope to come back to this beautiful resort soon!

Just back from a really pleasant stay at this hotel. All staff very friendly and it just felt a really chilled out place. As tends to be the theme in Greece, no one was ever in a rush and it is the perfect place to go to completely switch off. You never really struggle to get a bed round the pools but if you want one with shade you may need to get there early, but the pool temperatures were perfect. Food wise, there was always something we liked, I was there with my wife, 11yo son and parents, and the snack bar on a lunch time was always really quiet so we preferred to eat in there. The chicken gyros comes highly recommended. One of the very few let downs was our experience in the A la Carte restaurant where I can only assume our order was forgotten as it was not busy and we waited over an hour between our starters and mains. The all-inclusive drinks menu is a bit skimpy compared to other 4 star resorts, but the beer was drinkable, especially in the evenings when served in frozen glasses from the lobby bar. It is also a nice touch having a bar down at the beach, which is a 10 minute walk away. The rooms were spacious, beds massive and maids came with clean towels every day. It is a very cosmopolitan hotel with lots of different nationalities staying we would would definitely return.
