I stayed in the downstairs casita with my mum. It was perfect - super clean and tidy! And comfy beds. The hammock outside is perfect for an afternoon siesta. It’s a little bit of a walk from the town of Gigante but if you are fit it’s no trouble and there’s usually a friendly

Spent a month in the treetop casita. Lovely hosts and staff. Safe, secure, and close to all amenities, yet removed from the beaten path. The pool and grounds are very well kept and provide for a wonderful experience. Internet is also very fast and dependable. Highly

Casa Swell was exactly what my girlfriend and I were looking for. A private atmosphere with amazing views and a pool ! Would recommend it to anyone looking to stay off the beach for a more quiet Nicaraguan experience.

Casa swell is perfectly located; a short walk gets you to the beach and the Playa Gigante Township. Perfect, as you are removed enough from the town to have peace and quiet, while being close enough that going to get dinner or some drinks is not a trek. I felt very safe while

We at Casa Swell are extremely embarrassed and shocked at the unfortunate event that took place. It must be said that the break in was in fact NOT by key, but through breaking and entering through a top window. We have safes in our casitas and urge our clients to make use of them. In this case it was thought that the safe was not working correctly, something which during a 3 week stay we were never informed of once. As it turned out, the key was not being used correctly. One of the two property managers is a yoga instructor, although what this has to with it I'm not quite sure. We have a night guard on site every night and normally there is someone on the property during the majority of the day. It happened to be a day where one manager was out of the country for a few days and the other needed to go shopping and run errands, and the gardener had a day off. I don't think it's fair to expect anyone to be at their property at all times, especially when they have other jobs. Casa Swell is run as an AirBnB-style establishment and we do not have a 24 hour reception. The managers live on site and are available to the needs of their clients as much as possible. Sincere apologies to Julie, it is an awful thing to have happened and totally understandable to receive a negative review. We are doing everything we can to ensure that this doesn't happen again.
