Stayed with Peter and his team for a family wedding in Feb. A large family group who all agree the facilities and surrounding were perfect for the occasion. Rooms are modern and well equipped, spotlessly clean and the service from Peters team was outstanding, nothing was a problem . Longbourne Lodge is a credit to you and Sandy. I must...

We recently stayed here for 3 nights. The place is lovely and peaceful. The studio cabins are very cosy and would be the perfect place to stay in winter. There are a wide range of outdoor games available which was great to wind down with at dusk. There is a guest laundry available for $5 per load. They do supply...

Beautiful grounds with plenty to do. Friendly owners and a soccer mad dog! On the last day my father in law got sick and needed to rest. We were kindly accomodated a new room despite a large group of guests arriving that evening. Very tranquil and relaxing. I highly recommend it to all. We will be coming back and recommending...

The rooms here are quite spacious with well appointed kitchenettes and furnishings. We stayed just the one night prior to our flight home, but would definitely come back if we find ourselves in the Dunedin area again. The hosts were incredibly friendly and accommodating. So lovely to look out across the farmland, and truly appreciated the eco-thoughtfullness.

We had an extended stay at Longbourne Lodge. The location is idyllic, semi rural on lovely spacious grounds. We are a family of five, and enjoyed the large studio unit which had a great kitchen and a good size lounge. The unit itself was warm and very clean. The owners were very helpful, and happy to accommodate our needs. I...

I had a extended stay at Longbourne Lodge and was very happy with the accommodation. The location is beaut, a rural position but close enough to Mosgiel and not far from Dunedin over Three Mill Hill. the studio unit was very well appointed and very cosy as winter sets in. If you want a nice, relaxing, quiet place in the countryside, this place is perfect. We stayed one night in this motel after spending a week touring the South Island of New Zealand. It was in a country setting complete with cows. It was conveniently located near Mosgiel restaurants, the town of Dunedin and the Dunedin airport. There are two...

We stayed here for 2 nights to visit the Otago Peninsula, we didn't want to stay in busy Dunedin. Longbourne Lodge is in a lovely, peaceful rural location with nice views over the surrounding countryside. Our room and bed were comfortable, and we slept very well. Didn't try their breakfasts, we bought food from one of the large supermarkets in...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Sunny, spacious and warm cosy cottages and family sized cottages set on 5 peaceful acres in Mosgiel. View the picturesque scenes of the Taieri Plains and surrounding hills from your covered veranda; enjoy a "country quiet" night’s sleep in our deliciously comfortable beds. Being only four kms from the restaurants and cafes, you could dine out in a different place every night. Or as each cottage has a fully equipped kitchen, you could create your own favourites and dine on the deck enjoying a fine Otago wine as you watch the sun slip slowly behind the hills. Barbeques and picnics are always a family favourite at the Lodge, along with outdoor chess, chequers and petanque. At Longbourne Lodge we like to think globally and act locally, so each cottage is passive solar designed, and features double glazing and solar hot water. We offer rain collected filtered drinking water and the waste water is reticulated for the gardens. So why not spoil yourself and experience genuine rural NZ hospitality at a genuinely affordable Kiwi price? We’d love to meet you. ... more   less
