The hotel's location is very convenient for getting around Valletta on foot (it can be reached in 10 minutes on foot) and for taking ferries to the three cities and to Gozo (Ferries stop also 10 minutes away). The neighborhood seems a bit deserted but there are all the essential things, a café for breakfast and a small market. The local bus stop is 5 minutes away. Excellent solution to avoid the too chaotic and busy centre. It is very convenient to reach all points. The staff is really super friendly and helpful. We booked the room without windows but it is excellent for people like us who go out in the morning and return only in the evening to rest as the area is quite busy and this room is very quiet. The hotel is clean, bathroom with clean shower and comfortable bed. Overall, highly recommended.

The most beautiful accommodation with the most comfortable bed on our trip through southern Italy and Malta was the 23 Boutique Hotel, centrally located in Floriana.
From the ferry pier we had only a good 10 minutes walk at the late hour of our arrival - even if it contained some stairs.
Due to the advanced time, access to the hotel was only possible with a code - but that worked perfectly.
The Boutique hotel itself is an absolute gem in a quiet side street, stylishly developed with a bright but covered courtyard. From there also went our room, which impressed with a modern, thoughtful and well-coordinated decor. The same goes for the bathroom. The fact that it had no window to the outside and natural light only penetrated through the windows to the courtyard did not strike us negatively. The bed, on the other hand, was absolutely outstanding - you almost didn't want to get up in the morning. But it was good that we did it anyway, because even if the hotel does not offer its own breakfast, there is an unbeatable option just 30m away: the Sicilian cafe just around the corner serves great stuffed croissants and coffee.
Strengthened by this, you can reach the center of Valletta in a short distance in 10 minutes. Recommended is the detour above the waterfront, where you have a beautiful view of the opposite bank.
Overall, our hotel choice was not only strategic, but also an absolute hit from a feel-good point of view. We would definitely come back!

We can only recommend the 23 Boutique Hotel for a wonderful holiday in Valletta.

The location is perfect, in a few minutes you can walk to the city gate of Valletta or the bus station to explore the island.

The room was very nice, spacious and tastefully decorated. Everything is spotlessly clean. The bed was excellent.

So far there is hardly any room for improvement. What takes the whole thing to an even higher level is the appreciation that you experience as a guest here.

Thank you, Mia and Ryan! You made our holiday something very special. We will definitely come back.

Cosy and well located 10 minutes walk to Valletta. A traditional solid house on a side street, converted tastefully in a modern idiom
The room and bathroom were spacious and comfortable.
Best thing about the place is the charming couple running it, extremely helpful, dispensing good advice and genuinely caring about our comfort.
Overall a pleasant experience

Lovely hotel within easy walking distance to the gates of Valetta city as well as the harbour area. We are a married couple of pensioners and we stayed in room 11 whilst our son stayed in room 9. I always rate a room on how comfortable the beds were and how good the shower was. So pleased to say we loved the comfortable beds and the shower was great with good water pressure. The pictures on the website are a good representation of the rooms. We did not have breakfast at the hotel, although it can be ordered in advance. The small cafe across the road does nice coffee and pastries. Ryan, the owner, was very helpful as were all the staff with plenty of recommendations of where we should visit. We were there the last week of November 2024 and although everywhere was preparing for Christmas with lots of the lights on, unfortunately the Christmas market was not quite open. On the day we left the hotel, Ryan and his staff had started to decorate the hotel. There are couple of small shops around the corner. There is also a small fridge in each room.

This is a fantastic boutique hotel for those types of traveller that prefer something small and personal. The hotel and it's rooms are tastefully decorated. There is a roof top area with great views, where you can have drinks served. The hotel is room only but breakfast can be arranged or there are some lovely coffee shops nearby. It's located about 5-10 minute walk outside Valletta city walls, which is perfect for getting around to tourist spots, bus routes, nice restaurants but also to avoid the noise and bustle of the city centre. The owner, Ryan is so friendly and helpful and at hand to provide information and recommendations. I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else if and when we return.
Note. We stayed in room 9 on the 2nd floor that had a small balcony.

Very nice and family-run hotel within walking distance of the
city center (10 minutes). Located in the old town area of Floriana, surrounded by many small shops and street cafes. The interior has been restored and remodeled with great taste and passion, clearly preserving the old building structure. Our room was large, with a great bathroom and a sleeping area (comfortable mattress even for spoiled backs) on the second floor. Super friendly reception with lots of practical tips for your stay. We didn't like the noise level at night caused by passing cars and trucks and the rather makeshift breakfast area. However, this can be compensated for by a street cafe located right nearby.

A very nice little hotel with a beautifully decorated room, a good bed and a pleasant atmosphere. We were very well received by both the owner and the receptionist, both of whom were ready with good advice and guidance on what to see and how to get around Malta. They also referred us to the very excellent little café where we could get an excellent coffee and breakfast approximately 100 meters from the hotel.
The hotel is located in a quiet area, and you should not count on making late purchases. There is a bus stop a few hundred meters from the hotel, from where there are connections to most of the island.

We highly recommend 23Boutique to anyone looking for an extremely comfortable hotel in/near Valletta. Our room (12) was much larger than an average hotel room, had a private balcony, and was very quiet as it did not overlook the street. The hotel which is a recently converted palazzo is modern, yet retains old-world charm. A recently opened roof top patio is a lovely feature to this hotel, and was a great place to watch the fireworks display held in the Grand Harbour while enjoying a glass of local wine. Ryan, Mia and Andrea were very warm and helpful hosts & we much appreciated their assistance during our stay. It's only 10 minutes from Valletta Gate and so easy to go from there to anywhere else on the island. A great hotel to consider if you are going to Malta.

We loved this hotel. The rooms are lovely, spacious, and quiet. Guests are expected to keep the noise down after 10 p.m. which I really appreciate. The hotel is quite small and within the first day we were on a first name basis with the owner Ryan, and his excellent front desk person, Anna. There is a rooftop terrace that offers nice views. If you need any information they are more than happy to help. Anna can tell you exactly what buses to take to get anywhere on the island. The hotel is a very short walk to Valletta old town. We would definitely stay here again.

Hi Elizabeth. The bathrooms in the duplex suites are on the lower level of the room. The upper level is the bedroom.
