To me there is nothing more comforting then finding a good, clean, comfortable, well priced country pub after a days ride. That is what I found at the Mena Creek Hotel. My brother and I had booked into the hotel during a ride to Paronella Park which is a couple of minute walk away and another definite must do (I... More

Stayed free camping on the grass area beside the Pub, had the best steak, a beer or two of course. Great food, great staff, nothing to complain about. Across the road from Paronella Park. Come see, come stay, come enjoy. Cheers and safe travel to all

We stopped off at Mena Creek Hotel for a light lunch on the way to Paronella Park. The menu was quite varied for a country pub in the middle of nowhere, and the beer was cold. The staff were great, and came over to explain how they were experimenting with different flavour combinations with the crocodile, buffalo and kangaroo on... More

We visited the pub for dinner while staying at Paronella Park. Our seafood meals were pleasant but not wonderful. Unfortunately as we were finishing are our dogs we were inundated by cigarette smoke. I informed the manager who proceeded to lie about moving the offenders. The designated smoking area was right next to dining tables and not the minimum 4... More

I had a late lunch with my 7 year old son in early July. Neither of us could eat much of the meal we were served. I had a seafood dish and couldn't eat my calamari too rubbery my vegies oily and average and the fish actually OK but for the price disappointing. My son also found his childrens meal... More

Did the evening tour at Paronella Park, then went to the pub for dinner, verandas all the way round, plus beer garden, seating for hundreds I'm sure. Dinner was a simple affair, burger with the lot and chips for me and vegetable lasagne for the wife, both excellent, and a pint or so of lager to wash it down, perfect.... More

Called in for a quick feed after our trip to paronella park. Quick was right and really tasty and fresh!!! Service was fantastic, prices were great and we loved the country music playing. We had the chicken burger, sweet potato wedges (for once we've eaten somewhere that knows how to cook these so they aren't soggy!) and the Caesar salad.... More

My husband and I enjoyed delightful country pub hospitality at Mena Creek Hotel this weekend. The drive to the pub takes you through tropical pastoral paradise - rolling hills of sugar cane fields & paw paw plantations, backed by rainforest covered mountains, bring your camera! Nick and Gem gave us a warm welcome, the locals are friendly, service is quick... More

i expected just basic pub food, but for an area with hardly any competition they certainly act like there is. The meals are designed as professionally as you would see at a restaurant in Brisbane city.the hospitality and kindness was so welcoming and friendly that they could be hospitality mentors themselves. You really feel at home here. Would visit paronella... More

Mena Creek Hotel is your typical country pub. Old with character, great friendly staff, pub meals - great food, well cooked, good variety & reasonably priced. Grilled steak & fish were both delicious. You can sit out on the front verandah to catch the cool breeze, or at the bar or put the back in the fernery dining room/bistro, which we... More
