Myself and a couple of friends stayed with eco divers for 5 days as we heard that the diving was incredible...and it was! Firstly, the resort is expertly run, with clean and comfortable bungalows, 24hr electricity, hot showers and some of the most delicious food you will ever taste! As you are in a really remote place, the wifi is...

We loved our week at this friendly resort. We’re beach potatoes. Loved the secluded white sand, blue-green sea, breathtaking views, boat trips, coastal villages, porpoises, and reef accessible directly from the beach. Cottages face the beachfront and are simple, clean, well equipped and comfortable. Socializing and dining are at an open air pavilion with a superb view, comfortable seating and...

This year it was our second stay at Alor Divers, with family and friends. We are a family of two adults and two small children and we absolutely enjoyed it! The hospitality of the owners and the dicretion of staff is very pleasant, the rooms are in the middle of nature but impeccably clean, the food is full-board but never...

Spent two weeks at Alor Divers Eco Resort during September 2016. The resort is very spacious with restaurant and seven bungalows set back from a beautiful beach with panoramic views of turquoise water and volcanic islands. Bungalows are spacious and comfortable with hot water and electricity except when everyone is out diving and not required. Food is excellent and very...

I spent 8 days at Alor Divers and I had a total blast ! The place is perfectly quiet, you don't hear any mechanical noise, only the sounds of the waves in front of your bungalow, not even the sound of a noisy aircon since there's not any because it's not necessary, I was surprised but the bungalow are built...

Well run and comfortable ecological resort on a very beautiful white sand beach; very diverse scuba diving spots almost 'private' and incredible marine life so rich in Alor and Pantar. Great bungalows. Excellent diving guides. Unique marine species. Be ready for strong underwater currents but some dives can be calm as well...

Fantastic location. Fantastic People. Fantastic Staff and fantastic diving. Everything is arranged for you and runs super smooth. The local staff are endearing and want to please. Dive guides know their stuff and do their upmost best to ensure you get everything out of your stay. Accommodation has everything you need and is comfortable and private. I can't think of...

It doesn't really get much better: outstanding diving from an eco-chique and personalised resort with only 14 guests in an untouched part of the country where foreign visitors are far and few between. A very knowledgeable diving crew: not more than 4 to 5 divers per guide, top notch equipment and an amazing variety of marine life, from the smallest...

Make not mistake, this resort is all about the diving, which is absolutely outstanding. So good that we just had to return this year with a group of friends to see if it lived up to our memories of last year - and yes it did. This is a very relaxed place, quite basic on some levels but Gilles &...

This was a back to basics holiday, one of the most memorable diving experiences of my life. The hotel was basic in some ways but given the remoteness it was fantastic. I would recommend this location to anyone that wants to detach themselves from the rest of the world and just enjoy diving and relaxation. The hosts Beatrice and Ben...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Alor Island's world class dive spot in Indonesia. An intimate eco dive resort where diving Indonesia is passion of divers. Home to extraordinary marine life. Our intimate resort is situated on a stretch of 400 m long sandy beach on Pantar Island. To preserve the authentic atmosphere of the place, we took special care while integrating the resort in its natural surrounding. To enchance friendly ambiance and personalized service, the number of guests are limited to 12. Locals from nearby village, few assistants from the main town of the region, Kalabahi, and Western management make up the hospitable working team, committed to present you with a memorable stay in our islands retreat. The climate of Alor is particularly pleasant: the months from early April to late October are fairly dry and nights are often surprisingly cold, therefore acclimatization is less harsh than one might imagine. Moreover, due to the lack of standing fresh water, mosquitoes are rare to encounter for most of the year. ... more   less

“If you want good diving and an escape from the hustle and bustle of city life this is the place. You cannot be tempted to work out of the office as there is no internet or reliable wifi, no TV and no news-papers. So bring your own reading material to enjoy the time between dives.”

“We had the Omang-Omang bungalow which the furthest from the restaurant however really peaceful and with a great view from the terrace, I would recommend if you don't mind the 5 min walk in the sand to the main facilities.”
