We visited this resort because it was recommended by our guide. Good points: - rooms are okay, clean and suitable for backpackers. No hot and cold showers but all rooms have ACs that are functioning. -staff were all friendly and accommodating. They cater to almost all the requests of their guests - place is near the public market and nearest... More

Relaxing And cheap, 1500 peso a night with aircon. Free brkfast. Take a motorbike when you come from the boat . 150 peso to punta del sol. It's not a crowdy place.super relaxing for sure .cabanico is more beautiful but 10x expensive and mostly full booked .

We are frequent visitors here because it's close to our island home. The location is pleasant, with a small private beach (though sadly, it's not unusual for quite a lot of floating garbage to be washed in). But we like the simple, natural feel of the place with its extensive grassy areas and palm trees. Generally, we find the food... More

First time in the Philippines and Samal. I found the accommodations to be nice for the area and the people very friendly. We had a young woman and her husband really provide us with outstanding care and help during our stay as we explored the island. I won't forget them nor the time spent there.

I DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. Went here with my family to attend our family reunion. I already read negative reviews about this place so since its my cousins who facilitate all the bookings got no choice but when we get there , twas worst than I expected. We stayed at Dormitory type of rooms, air-conditioned ,has bathrrom but it... More

We've been here and stayed overnight last 2 days ago. Nice view, beautiful resort, relaxing and peaceful. Staffs are friendly and accommodating. Expensive foods and drinks. Dirty and bad smell rooms. Dirty comfort rooms.

We made the reservation through Agoda but prior to that, I spoke with Liza through email to confirm if Tipay B room was still available. I cleary told her that we need a room that has no stairs since we're travelling with our parents. She said YES, and told me to proceed with the booking of Tipay B. I then... More

They've got poor customer service! Dirty room especially their comfort rooms! Expensive food! All they care is about money! I am very disappointed with this resort. I will never ever go back to Punta del Sol. Never try to book this resort! You will experience a nightmare!

The resort is probably a 15 to 30 minute motorcycle ride from Babak, Samal Island port, where you will disembark. An airconditioned room for 2 with breakfast costs a mere 1,500 pesos which is good value for money and where we stayed. The most expensive airconditioned room for 2 with breakfast is only for 2,400 pesos. The 1,500 room is... More
