As a family of 4 and after much deliberation we decided to hire our own vehicle from Nairobi and do a self-drive safari hiring guides at the lodges. After flying into Nairobi and picking up the vehicle our first stop was Amboseli Serena. The Food, accommodation and service all superb and a great place to view game, the guide was...

After staying at a couple smaller places, it was a bit of a let-down. But the buffet style meals were good, and the rooms were decent. The views from the lodge were nice...and elephant literally was about 20 ft away from us at one point. The service is ok, but overall, a nice place...

Excellent stay at this lodge equally as comfortable as the sister lodge at Kilguni in Tsavo West. Great food and service and with Mount Kilimanjaro to look at as well...FANTASTIC.Rooms are really comfortable and spotlessly clean.Overall a must on your safari.

This was less a camp and much more like a conventional hotel. It's located within Amboseli National Park, so you will be able to see animals beyond the electric fence that secures the perimeter of the lodge. The room was great. One of the highlights was our bathroom which had a large window in it. While people couldn't see through...

Had a wonderful stay in Amboseli Serena in August 2012. The rooms are beautiful with tribal sketches on the wall and very neat and clean.Options to pick and choose food is plenty. The lodge is inside the national park ,hence there is a good chance of spotting a few stray animals like the impalas etc grazing just outside the restuarant.

We were on a two-week safari in Tanzania and Kenya and stayed at several Serena lodges. The Amboseli was a wonderful experience. The grounds and buildings are attractive and well kept up. The rooms are clustered and somewhat resemble a village. Our room was fairly close to the main building, but many are spread out on the property. Our room...

I had been to Amboseli Serena on 8 & 9 th August 2012, rather unwillingly as our indian tour operators were lazy to have specified accomodation as per itirenery. But things have proved very unforgettable and amazing. The lodge is having very nice staff. the rooms are excellent. The service is really excellent and prompt. The most striking thing was...

This is another Serena Lodge and overall maintains the high standards of all Serena Lodges in the Safari Parks. Although it caters to large groups, and there were many large groups when we were there, nevertheless they do not forget the couples or smaller groups, as is often the case. We asked for a different room and it was done,...

I have been a guest at the Serena Lodge in Amboseli 3 times (and I'm going back again in 2013). The food is amazing as is the view. Watch out for the monkeys though, if you leave your purse unattended they try and grab stuff out of it, otherwise they are cute. The pool is clean and refreshing and the...
