This lodge, as big as it is, has a staff who pays attention to each person staying here. I didn't realize there were 90 rooms because the way it is laid out it feels intimate. There is a nice pool area and fire pit too. The rooms are small and the food is just average but the operations of the... More

Amboseli Serena is in the heart of the Amboseli National Park, about 4 hours drive from Nairobi using the Mombasa Road and Emali turn off. If you are lucky, you will see the peak of Mt. Kilimanjaro on a clear day on your drive to the park, and from within the park itself. The lodge itself, in typical Serena style... More

We only stayed a night and I wish we could have stayed longer. The rooms were really nicely appointed and had a private patio. The wifi in the rooms was a bonus too. The showers also had good pressure. The waitstaff was attentive and super friendly. The food was also very good - we had lunch, dinner and breakfast there.... More

What a place! The room was amazing and so was the lobby, but the most amazing part was the patio where you can view the plains. We saw elephants not too far away, and monkeys roam the grounds. This is a five star hotel. As a poor teacher, I don't stay in places like this, so it was one of... More

Amboseli Serena Set inside Amboseli National Park the lodge setting is beyond words. The reception dining and bar/pool area is divine. Generally the staff were typical of our now 14 day safari experience very helpful. BEWAREI had my watch stolen from the room in the first 2hrs of arriving, I left the room for a game drive. My guide was... More

The best time to visit is after the rains as during the rainy season most animals are not out.So the best time to visit is between June-September.For personal reasons I chose to travel in May. Please do not travel Air Kenya because they cancel flights at the last minute. The places I stayed were fabulous, very clean and had well mannered... More

The Lodge is quite big but due to not being high season now it was not very busy. I do however thing it can become very busy. Very nice clean and comfortable rooms. The bush dinner a definite must. The food is very tasteful. I stayed in room 63 like most of them it has its own little "stoep" with... More

I loved everything about this trip. I recommend everyone booking here. Service was over the top. The food was absolutely amazing. I would definitely come back here again. Do not open the patio door or else the money will try to get into your room to steal sugar/tea packets.

Bad service from beginning to end Difficult to even get a cup of coffee from them Had to ask three times since they kept bringing out coffee in a one liter pot and expected it to serve 60 plus people Went to an empty restaurant and was seated in another room 50 meters away from the food Complained to michael... Travelled to Amboseli for a weekend with the children and were amazed at the authenticity of the lodge. The Maasai theme has been executed well throughout bringing out the culture and charm. As always the Serena brand did not disappoint; comfortable rooms, good food, excellent service and very friendly staff. The Chef went out of his way to ensure that... More
