The rooms are small and basic, but perfectly functional, and you don't come here for a luxury break. The food was great, and the grounds are brilliant for birding. They even have wild guinea pigs living there. An idyllic oasis.

This was a delightful place to start our wildlife tour. Perfectly positioned in the forest with an abundance of wildlife. Food was excellent and served in a lovely setting. The staff were happy to accommodate our request for breakfast before dawn. Rooms were clean, comfortable, air conditioned and plenty of hot water for showers. Lovely start to our trip.

A nice and quiet place in a great spot. Beautiful views, nice trails and interesting nature with spectacular rock formations and waterfalls. Small rooms and bathrooms, but nice garden and outdoor restaurant. Food is not so great. Try the steam sauna with lemongrass! Birders will enjoy this place, look out for the roosting Tropical Screech-owl and the Nightjars on the...

We arrived here after a 28 hour journey from the UK. It was an ideal place to recharge our batteries. The place was delightful, the welcome warm and the food lovely. This lodge was perhaps the best accommodation of our recent safari to Brazil, which included two 5 star hotels!. It was a gem set in natural surroundings, with humming birds and cavies around the little swimming pool, eating al fresco for breakfast and dinner, an intimate double room but with excellent shower and air conditioning. We enjoyed easy excursions into...

Loved this place, it is completely isolated so when you are there you are not going anywhere fast except after a drive down a long bumpy road or a long walk, but that is part of its charm. Nice rooms (quite small but fine), stunning views, delicious food and friendly staff. But it's the fabulous location deep inside the park...

Our stay at Pousado do parque was fantastic: quiet, peaceful and Eco-friendly lodge, great food, amazing view, friendly and helpful staff... We did 2 beautiful excursions with a guide the owner arranged for us, really worth it! The rooms are rather small and basic, but there's so much to do and see (waterfalls, caves,...) that you won't spend a lot...

Truly a wonderful place in every respect: setting, food, ambiance, and Osvaldo- the owner, went out of his way to help us make some arrangements that we needed which involved a change in our plans. Every detail here is perfect: there is fresh drinking water available, the food at the delicious dinners is organic and well prepared, @ breakfast the...

A very nice eco lodge in the Chapada dos Guiamares national park in Mato Grosse. The park is best known for the variety of birds in the area, but butterfly enthusiasts will also find much to entertain them. The lodge consists of several rooms around a central building with a separate dining area nearby. A small pool is available to...

My husband and I stayed here for two nights before heading to the Pantanal. We chose this place because we wanted to experience the cerrado, or dry highlands, of Brazil and we were not disappointed. The lodge sits about 6 km from the main road into Chappada dos Guimarāes National Park. The rooms are small, but you don't spend much...
