This post has taken me way too long to write, but it's better late than never! My boyfriend and I came to Rambutan after 5 days in Ubud, and were looking forward to enjoying this beautiful retreat. Unfortunately, I was extremely ill by the time we checked in (from something I had eaten in Ubud the night before). I was... More

We found the Rambutan online, with a 1 night stay at 390,000 IDR. When we arrived however, what I would guess to be the woman owner greeted us with a price sheet and told us that the only room she had left was priced at 800,000 IRD, pretty big price jump, and way over our budget. Even when I specifically... More

Some of things you say just don’t seem to ring true. You say you looked online first but after being told the budget rooms were full you went away and booked online at 390,000 IDR, however on our price list at the reception the Budget rooms are priced at 350,000 IDR. Cobwebs everywhere but you fail to take a photo... More

Thank you for taking the time to review our place and we are very happy you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you back one day. As a single person probably best to book direct, as we can give you a single rate which you can't get online. We can also give you a discount as a return customer. More

Stayed here for two nights and originally booked the budget room, however after inspecting the dirty room we decided it would be wise to get the superior room. Everyone but the reception staff seemed unwilling to do anything! Even asking simple requests they rolled their eyes and we really got the idea that no one could be bothered! The room... More

Balinese people do not roll their eyes, it is not their custom. Yes we serve fresh fruit juice, not from a bottle. There are many choices in the breakfast menu, five different types and you can order extra fruit, toast, juices and free flow of coffee and tea from 7.30 to 11am. Main choices on the breakfast menu are eggs... More

Although Lovina Beach itself was a let down, this resort was a very pleasant surprise. We spent ten days here and didn't want to leave! The room was clean and comfortable, with a good airconditioner and a bar fridge. Close to the beach and heaps of wonderful restaurants. It has two pools, one large, one small, and excellent seating and... More

At first we booked a budget room at Rambutan Boutique Hotel. The room (12a) we got was not nice and rather old. The problem was mainly that the bathroom was not well maintained. The tiles and rhinestones were a terrible choice to use for a bathroom in a hotel. They are hard to get clean and, especially the walls, are... More

Thank you for taking the time to review our place. We will take not of what you have said and try to improve the place. I will look at the mirror in 12 a. My guess there are flying insects eating the wood, not ants, so will replace, or treat the wood. Regarding breakfast you can ask for extra fruit,... More

The cottages are nice and big. The restaurant instead is below the standard. Not many option for breakfast and very small dishes. The lunch/ dinner is basic. I found it very difficult to communicate in english as the staff doesn't speak the language at all. If you expect a proper resort maybe it may not be the option.

Glad you enjoyed the villa. Regarding my staff, the girl in charge of the restaurant speaks fluent English, and the young lad is not too bad, while one of the girls is still learning, so sorry about that side. More
