Nestled in the serene Norfolk countryside, Barnham Broom Resort is celebrated for its inviting atmosphere and exceptional staff service. While some guests consider the value reasonable, others are taken aback by unexpected costs. The resort's amenities, including comfortable beds and quality food, receive praise, although the spa and pool areas can feel crowded. Rooms are deemed cozy and well-furnished, though the occasional need for updates is noted. The hotel stands out for its cleanliness and is often chosen for romantic escapes and business trips alike.

Third time of visiting the hotel and it will not be the last. Staff and facilities all first class. Rooms are spacious and clean. Spa was nice and quiet during the adult only session so you can have a good swim or relax with a book on a bed. There's plenty of choice at breakfast, lunch in the sports bar and dinner in the Brasserie. Large car park and parking is free.

Fabulous visit to Barnham Broom, from start to finish! Relaxation package was fantastic! Amazing spa treatments, lovely staff and delicious food; especially the white chocolate and raspberry scones and the afternoon tea! Would definitely recommend!

Fast and friendly reception, room was spotless, comfortable and spacious (we had a superior room). We had a delicious and sumptuous breakfast (Salmon with scrambled eggs and continental). Ambiance in the breakfast room was very enjoyable, the French press coffee just what I needed in the morning and staff were awesome. Two lovely ladies, really busy yet friendly and attentive. Dinner the same - we both had braised feathered blade beef and it was most delicious! Again, the service was just right and very pleasant! We had booked a package with dinner that came with a bottle of wine - the red house wine was a nice bottle of Tempranillo. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and service that Sunday evening. Upon our arrival Sunday afternoon, we went to the pool that overlooks the golf course with huge windows and a decent size for swimming laps. We were a bit shocked when we arrived, as there were children in the pool, the sauna and steam bath and it was quite noisy- with the echo it was pretty unbearable relaxing at all. But - having said that -they all disappeared and left the sauna and steam bath shortly after five. We then saw there are specific children swim times (as posted on the webpage - SAT & SUN 3:30 - 5pm). Once they were all gone, it was peaceful and quiet. Sauna and steam bath are in a fitness design rather than wellness as clearly stated - they are part of a fitness club. Staff at the Edge, again, friendly and welcoming. All in all, we had a great time. Loved the premises, the beautiful landscape around (flooded golf course, yet beautiful), went for a lovely walk to Colton, had tea in Hingham and visited Bury St Edmunds on the way home! We loved it so much that we will come back for longer next time.

We had a lovely stay here last night, couldn’t fault the food in the brasserie, beautiful room and friendly staff. My only negative is that the pool could only be described as cold. It wasn’t the relaxing swim I’d imagined and I have to say we missed having a good jacuzzi to spend some time relaxing in. Other than that, a lovely stay thank you

The hotel was in a nice location. On arrival we noticed people walking through reception and waiting around wearing dressing gowns which we thought was odd. We subsequently realised that to get to the pool you had to walk through reception, through the lounge, past the brasserie and through the bar! Not the most ideal customer journey. There is an alternate route outside but it was a cold, wet day and we are in the UK so not a great option. You also have to pay extra on arrival just to use the facilities such as the pool and gym. We were there for our anniversary and after waiting a significant amount of time to check in (check in is at 3, we didn’t manage to get checked in until nearly 4- however some people were more unlucky and their rooms weren’t even ready!) we spoke to the receptionist regarding dinner, we had called several times in the previous weeks to try and book a table and couldn’t get through. We were told that there were no spaces in the brasserie and it had been fully booked for two weeks. The rooms are expensive and for that I would expect at least to be able to dine in the restaurant, there are no alternatives locally as it’s a pretty remote hotel. We were told we could eat in the bar. My husband ran hotels for years and was shocked that some tables weren’t reserved for paying guests. All together pretty disappointing, we paid a significant amount for a one night stay and had bar food which was basic. We have previously been lucky enough to stay in some Hilton hotels in London and are well travelled, we have had far better experiences for the same price so we definitely won’t be staying here again! On another note, the staff were friendly, the room was clean and comfortable and the Spa (I had a massage) was great. Not enough to make up for the oversight of having no tables available in the restaurant, ridiculous.

I'm sorry to read of your disappointments and had you booked a stay that included dinner on Valentines weekend, we would have duly provided you a table in the Brasserie. I'm sure you can appreciate at peak times you need to make a reservation for dinner, which can easily be done via our website in a matter of minutes. I'm sorry that this impacted your overall stay and score given. Shaun

Stayed overnight for a spa day. Just could not fault anything…quite the opposite!! The evening started off with a few great cocktails followed by an amazing dinner in the restaurant! Room was fabulous, breakfast was superb & the leisure facilities brilliant! The Spa day was a gift I was not happy to receive but it just goes to show how wrong you can be! My partner & I booked a massage & couldn’t believe how much we both enjoyed it…the beauticians in the Spa were excellent, very friendly & put us both at ease. As a matter of fact I don’t recall ever staying in a hotel with such friendly & helpful staff! Finished the day with afternoon tea which was also first class! Would certainly do the whole package again!!!

My wife and I recently stayed over and enjoyed a three course meal in The Brasserie. On arrival, we headed straight to the sports bar where we enjoyed a well presented lunch and a couple of drinks in warmth and comfort. When we had finished, our room was ready. As usual, the room was spotlessly clean and well appointed. Dinner was superb! The staff helpful and friendly. The food itself was excellent and very well presented. We had an excellent night's sleep and breakfast was again excellent. A wide selection of food available for breakfast, we both had the full English option and it was very good, just the right size! As returning customers, we have never had anything less than a lovely experience at Barnham and would never hesitate to return in the future.
