Hi, we had an amazing evening away for our wedding anniversary which was made even better by the staff providing special touches and complimentary prosecco. Thank you very much. The only downside was the price of everything. The steak £30 and we then had to buy vegetables on top of that! Seemed a bit extreme but was very nice. Luckily I am a leisure member so got discount but was still expensive. Some staff seemed a bit young and inexperienced but I put that down to the covid times! The room we had was the valley suite which is great but I found it overpriced again. £230 for one night including breakfast... Overall, I love barnham broom and would stay again but only for a special occasion.

Dear Abi, thanks for your review and please to see overall you enjoyed your break with us. To note your comment on pricing, but please be aware that in all areas we offer premium products and services - so the steak you refer too, was Fillet, so a very expensive cut. £230 for our top suite overlooking the golf course - again, premium and we do have a selection of lower grade rooms available at lower prices. Hope to see you again soon. Shaun & team

After a 5 hour drive we were very, very disappointed with this place. The restaurant and bar areas were quite smart and the breakfast was quite good. However the accommodation side was really awful - the passages to the rooms were very dark - all painted brown walls and ceilings and the carpets were very dirty. The room was very dated and in serious need of redecoration and was also very dark. The bathroom was horrendous- couldn't work the bath which had an awful stain. Really dont know how they achieve 4* - dont mind paying for special occasion accomodation but at £210 it was expensive for what it was.

Dear Jasmine, I'm very sorry to read your review and that you do not like the style of accommodation we offer. We very rarely get any negativity regarding our hotel bedrooms and they are all recently redecorated? I will try and locate the room you stayed in to check on any bath staining (not something we have every had raised) and I do hope you brought this to our attention after checking in, so we could remedy. I'm sorry you could not work the bath tap. Regards Shaun

I have stayed here a few times now for a spa break and each time has been exceptional. All the staff are lovely and friendly and the food both in the brasserie and sports bar is amazing. Treatments are so relaxing and exactly what was needed. Will definitely be coming back.

A fabulous week, the course was the best I've seen it in 20 years. The hotel needs some fine tuning, we waited 70 minutes after ordering breakfast and a similar period waiting for a drink after an order was placed, however the situation did improve. The sector always has problems retaining staff as most seem to be transient. Over the years there has been a backbone of senior long serving staff that managed to ensure that things ran smoothly but sadly they appear to have retired now. Not an easy fix.....

Dear Terry, thanks for leaving us your review. I'm pleased to inform that we have many long standing team members still, contrary to your comment - but as a seasonal resort, we do have a number of short term team members that join us for the summer. After a long period of closure, we are still working on getting in top gear - so I apologise if there were any delays to service during your stay. Great to see your recognition on the golf - which I have shared with the Greens team. Best wishes Shaun
