Having read that Q Hotels had recently taken over this hotel and having read Q Hotels description of it being opulent, lavish and luxurious we arrived expecting slightly more than we got. The setting is lovely and the staff at check in were both efficient , friendly and polite. Finding our room was the first challenge.....and we weren't alone in...

Dear UKAnnie Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay at Dunston Hall. I was pleased to read that you found the reception team efficient, friendly and polite but I was concerned to read that there were a number of areas that fell short of the standard we aim to deliver. I have discussed your feedback with...

We only stayed for 12 hours, so didn't get much chance to sample the facilities on offer, but what we did experience was impressive. Comfortable new beds, good heating with its own thermostat (although why it was set at 26 degrees C when we arrived is a mystery) and practical, smart furnishings. The staff were very friendly throughout, putting us...

Booked the hotel as a last minute romantic break. The staff where very friendly and helpful and provided a great service. Also eat in the restaurant and the food and service was excellent. This was also a busy Christmas evening and although there was a number of functions occurring this did not affect the service and our stay. A big...

Stayed at Dunston for relaxation after Christmas shopping in Norwich. Good experience at check in although as it was December ,the door from outside kept blowing open and making the reception area very cold and draughty. Our Garden room was pleasant and the double bed was massive but this was all let down by unbelievably complicated television set up with...

Once again we stayed at this Hotel for the wifes Christmas works function. The staff are very friendly but the decor and upkeep of the bathroom has not taken place. The hallway to our room was threadbear and had been repaired with gaffa tape. The seal around the shower glass allows the water to seep onto the floor which could...

Award winning QHotels (AA Hotel Group of the Year 2014/15) took over only last month November 2014, and judging by some of the earlier critical reviews, have already begun to make their presence felt. If you can, stay in one of the newly refurbished rooms in the new wing - our room 346 - was without fault. Twin full size...

We were part of a party 15 (In all, 7 rooms booked). Although rooms were generally clean, decor was shabby, tired and very dated. Beds were soft, saggy, and uncomfortable and pillows lumpy. The sheets / pillow cases were also bobbly. In all rooms, the grouting around the edge of the bath was yellow and dirty, tiles were broken. At...
