Just home from a wonderful weekend to celebrate my busband and I birthday. Room clean and warm. Pool and jacuzzi and sauna all amazing. Breakfast was good but not always refilled. Ran out of mushrooms, hashbrowns and eggs this morning but still plenty of other foods on offer. Staff really friendly especially liv behind the bar and Kyle in restaurant. We were disappointed that we had to eat out Friday night as restaurant packed but we managed to get booked in fir dinner Saturday and having read reviews was a little sceptical. But , pleasantly surprised. Good food , great service ...the bar shut very early Friday which was disappointing, but sat stayed open late as lots of guests were enjoying themselves. We have enjoyed every moment of this weekend and I plan to visit in May with my sisters 😊 fed up with people writing bad reviews about dust or cold pool(pathetic) .My husband and I stay in hotels as much as we can and Sprowston manor definitely topped our preference list .

Just back from a weekend stay. Decided to treat ourselves to a weekend at Sprowston Manor as a Christmas gift to each other as we haven't been away for a good couple of years owing to Covid. The facade looks lovely but we noticed people had left cigarette butts in the courtesy dog water bowls at the entrance. Poor dogs. Check-in was swift despite the queue, so we headed to our suite on the ground floor. There was a sanitised sticker over the door which had to be removed but you knew the room had been cleaned. The room is sizeable and the bed was huge, as was the television and bath. On inspection, as you do, there was only 1 spare pillow and no blanket, dirty carpet and chairs and curtains falling off their fittings. Even after closing the windows which the cleaner had left open, the room never heated up to a comfortable temperature and like I said, no available blanket so sleep was poor. There were cobwebs on the bed frame, which themselves were accumulating dust and the shower cubicle had an evident crack in the tray with black mould so we didnt use that. We had to ask for toiletries at reception as only 1 nail polish size bottle of shampoo available in the room. Reception not always staffed either so speaking to someone is hit and miss. Interior could do with a facelift as is looking a little dated/shabby. Discovered too late that the restaurant was fully booked so you're required to book a breakfast time slot but not asked for a dinner reservation at check in. Husband was disappointed with breakfast offering as only a few items available as had run out. Hotel bar doesn't open until 6pm but you can use the golf club house which closes at 5.30pm and only snacks are crisps. We saw several guests take delivery of a take-away outside the hotel entrance, as did we our first evening. Take bottled water with you too. There was a Tassimo in the room but no instruction. No teaspoons either for tea/coffees. Wouldnt rate as 4* and certainly not worth what we paid for two nights. Very disappointing as an experience in a supposedly posh hotel.

Don’t even know we’re to start we booked a double room with bath they put us in a single room with a shower they were nice enough to change it but then we asked about dinner fully booked so we had to go out and the bar only open 6-11 we rang up about the spa they said you don’t need to book but when we get there there fully booked and apparently they keep telling reception but looks like nothing was done The bedroom was nice clean but we paid £25 for apparently all you can eat breakfast with the choice of scrambled egg been sitting there for ages sausages and bacon because they have no other stuff but I’m sorry £25 and you run out supposed to be a hotel if I must say what a waste of money don’t even bother going management sort it out oh and to say sorry they gave us 10% off what a joke they really don’t know customer service

After not really managing to get away over the past few years due to covid, my partner and I thought we would book a few nights away locally to get away. Sprowston manor seemed perfect as it had a spa and pool. I’m not sure how this is rated as a 4 start hotel, I’d say it’s not even 3 star. Room was filthy, decor very tired literally falling apart. Kettle and coffee machine both not working, the bathroom had loads of build up of residue from the water on all stainless steel areas and wasn’t clean. Room had a strange smell, and horrible dirty green carpets. There was a wedding on which is fine, however it was ridiculously noisy. People had been smoking inside, the corridors stank terribly. We expected to get dinner there, however on both nights this wasn’t possible apparently, which we found odd so had to make other arrangements. As we were out all day, came back and room hadn’t been touched. No clean towels, no bed made etc, no one had bothered to come in. Keycards stopped working after a day, had to get that sorted. The list goes on and on. Breakfast was terrible, you get better food at a hostel, and I know this from experiences from travelling. Don’t bother paying extra for it if you are staying! It’s beautiful from the outside but needs a good few hundred grand injecting in to it to bring it up to standard. I expect they make most of their money through events as the hotel is so run down and tired. The only positive was the pool was quite nice. I would honestly never stay here again, or recommended that anyone does. Total rip off if you’re going for a relaxing night away.

Welcome on arrival was poor, so not a good start. the room, a suite was ok but nothing special, biggest problem is there was no toiletries, well unless the count the used ones still in the bathroom. the pillow really needed changing and we had to ask for pillow cases. We went to the restaurant in the evening, my beef wellington had not just been uncooked but the pastry was raw. so restaurant not good. The breakfast was a joke, no food available so anything that did come out was gone within seconds. the range of food was poor, please see photos. really not good at all, its a great looking building and could be really good if it had the right management team such a shame its a bit of a shambles
