What else to say about the "best" hotel in Pirot other than disappointing. They keep your IDs until you check out, which is, by the way, against the law in Serbia. So, when I asked for our IDs back they told me it was a hotel policy since they had had guests who ran away without paying!!! Basically, they are treating all of their guests as potential thieves. That's the type of service and hospitality you can expect from this hotel and its staff. The hotel doesn't deserve the stars they have. Bunch of know-it-alls who can't meet even the simplest guest requirements, such as keeping the AC in the room off and keeping the windows open even when explicitly told to do so. When confronted about the problem they didn't know how to solve it! Last but not least, in these times of Covid19 pandemic some of the staff didn't even wear masks! We wanted to stay for four nights and stayed only 2 because of all the problems we had with them. We wouldn't have stayed the second night either, but we got back late that day just to discover the problem with AC and we didn't have enough time to change the hotel. Next time in Pirot, we'll find another hotel. Never staying in this one again!

A clean and cosy hotel in the city center close to everything. The personnel is disposable and helpful. Food various and even quite good variety of local products even on breakfast. The SPA is preferrable to be booked in advance (to agree about the time of visiting) for the sauna offer only the shower for cooling but fortunately equipped at least with bucket ;-). No separated and calm area to rest between the sauna cycle but the employees were so kind to allow the usage of the salt room .... In any case; be prepared to accept a quite unusual usage of the sauna and wellness but it seems to be as it should be.

Normally I would give better marks, but when you name the dish Fusilli with truffles, and you serve Penne with some mushrooms and maybe traces of truffles this is what you get. Every cook with basic knowledge should be able to determine what are Fusilli, that is more than basic.... further more there was too mach creme in the sauce, not enough if any truffles, and the worst of it it wasn't seasoned properly. So all in all not something I would ever recommend to anyone.

Visited here in January and chose this hotel as guests had free use of the spa. According to the literature in the hotel it had a sauna, jacuzzi and a salt room. I thought this would be an excellent option should we choose to unwind after a days sightseeing. On the occasion we thought we would try the facilities, we went to the spa which is not particularly well signposted and were told that we needed to reserve each option. I appreciate that massages need to be booked in advance but if you are thinking you would like to relax at the end of the day forget it unless you have booked. Because of this I did not bother booking any massages. On the plus side breakfast was good, the staff are constantly cleaning up after guests and topping up the food options. Check in was fine and Jovhana was polite and efficient with excellent English. There seemed to be some sort of party on the Friday night and we could hear the music from the 3rd floor, something to bear in mind if your there on a weekend. The room was clean and tidy so no issues there. For me the only let down was the spa facilities.
