This hotel is one of a kid. It's location, facilities and staff, set it apart from any other. One of the nicest resorts I've ever been to. We loved the rooms and the pool in particular. The Mediterranean restaurant is top class too.
We came here for the first time and immediately fell in love with the resort. It offers everything you can possibly think of. Scenic views, excellent food (Suhail), unforgettable events (private dining by design or camel ride at sunset), authentic arabic hospitality with belly dance … Entire staff has been incredibly friendly and caring. Special thx to Hajar, Zouhir and Wilson - you really made a difference. If you look for a unique luxury resort in the UAE away from the rush of the city and the known sights to relax and experience Arabian hospitality at its best, this is your destination. We will definitely come back again soon.
Where shall I start. Inexperienced staff. Not enough staff. Poor cleanliness. Maintenance needs attention. Pool area needs cleaning and maintenance. Not enough restaurants to allow one to be closed (until late July 2022). If you want peace and quiet at mealtimes, forget it. DO NOT stay here for more than 2 or 3 nights. They appear unable to come with anyone longer than that. It's when the guest has the time to see the cracks in the service.
We stayed here for 4 nights in the 1 bedroom pool villa for our honeymoon and it was amazing. We were treated like kings and queens by all of the staff. Special thanks to our butler Umar, and the staff members Bishesh, Dominik, Elrick, Quan, Aaron, Kishor, Sky, Rashaina, George and many more. Our 1 bedroom pool villa was super private with superb turndown service every evening. Beautiful private pool overlooking the desert. They even clean the sand from the pool after windy days. The restaurants Suhail and Gadheer were both really good with outstanding service. The pool bar was also really nice with a large selection of cocktails and drinks. We definitely recommend booking the private pool villas, we literally did not see or run into any other guests in the villa section of the resort.…
We booked a villa with a private pool for our wedding anniversary and were traveling with our daughter. We had the best time!! The villa was really the best we have ever done in the UAE. It was really spacious with beautiful decoration. The pool was amazing with a beautiful view of the dunes and sunset. The staff was very friendly. My daughter enjoyed the kids club. The suhail restaurant had amazing steaks! Of course special mention to our butler Farhan, which made our stay super special. He was attentive to our needs and he made sure that we enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be back. Thank you again to the whole Anantara team for a great stay! From, Humbert Family
I m checking into tomorrow from UK for 4 days but I wanted to praise the staff in responding to my pre arrival emails so quickly. Arriving and checking is often quite stressful but the team have been helped massively. If people are looking for a really interesting review see BBC documentary about this hotel with Giles Coren….fascinating stuff.
Such a great concept: top luxury resort in the middle of the desert. And not an ordinary one, but a very picturesque part of Rub Al Khali. It took us over 2 hours from Abu Dhabi to reach the place. Most of the road is quite boring as the speed limit is 100 kmph. But, when you reach the resort, you realize that it is worth it. First, you pass the checkpoint where security verifies your identity/reservation, and it takes another 10-15 minutes to reach the main building. You are then escorted to your room by a club cart, which is the most convenient way to move around. We stayed in standard room #200 which was spacious and equipped with absolutely everything you can think of, including jacuzzi. Great views from the terrace too. Breakfast is excellent, a lot of options for any palate. There are a few restaurants/bars and a happy hour in a couple of them from 5 to 6 pm. Swimming pool is spacious and well-shaped. The dunes are easily accessible, you can walk around for hours. A place to be.…
Speechless, everything was magical from the hotel to the rooms, the views, the service. I cant wait to return for more days. The food was delicious, the pool was big and relaxing. We enjoyed our room, didn't want to leave.
I was there with my wife and my son for 4 days. I had a suite! The location is really incredible. In the middle of the desert! I was relaxing very much. The have also many activities for all family members. All is PERFECT!!! room really clean and full of any confort. The staff at breakfast is really amazing. Everyone is so kind an smiley! Also at the reception and in the pool bar and the n the 2 restaurants everyone is fantastic. My wife was also in the spa and also there everyone is incredible and the treatments really fantastic. For us is a 10 stars hotel!!
Beautiful hotel and great facilities, but restaurants are well below par. For price we paid as family of 4 in a villa I was very let down during my stay, the buffet was best experience for us and dinner there is nothing special to any 5 star hotel buffet. Mediterranean is one of the worst f & b experiences I have ever encountered. We thought breakfast was good. Staff where great and setting incredible. Gym one of the best I ever used in hotel before, it has everything. We thought everything with hotel is great apart from food, let’s it down big time. Wouldn’t be back because of this.
